Great plates! Quality is better than I was expecting. Look nicer than what I thought they would. Easy to carry and rack. Yes there was a little rubber smell I washed them with equal parts water, alcohol and white vinegar ( my own concoction I use for glass ) and that took care of what smell there was. Quality Olympic set. I paid a little bit more to intentionally get these. They are coated in rubber. It’s nice that they have handles on every individual weight to use as you see fit. They do arrive coated in stinky oil though. I understand that it is only temporary, but It’s still stinking up my back room and I have to set them on a towel overnight so minus one star.
