I own both the regular case and the magsafe. I also owned and discovered this case for the Google pixel 8 pro. I previously had an Athlex, which is also a fantastic grippy case. What I liked about this one is that it has the same type of grippy nature but even more sleek, Slim and perfectly fit to the Google pixel 8 pro and the Google pixel 9 pro and XL model. The case is thin enough to be comfortable yet thick enough to provide adequate protection. It does a slightly better job than the other case I mentioned with regard to screen protectors, all of which I've been able to apply perfectly without them peeling up due to the case. The molding around the camera bar is the best I have seen and I can't understand why other manufacturers don't do the same. Perhaps they're worried that the cutouts won't match properly, but mine have in every single case I have purchased from Ringke. The onyx has become the standard case for my family and everyone loves it. For the reasons I mentioned. There is grippy texture on the side that makes a tremendous difference from the Torras cases and Spigen, that makes the whole difference. It's designed that way so it's not smooth. However, it's only slightly recessed so there's plenty of comfortable grip that it provides over just plain rubber. There's more camera protection here than any other phone I've seen, with. Perhaps an extra millimeter around the camera in the back. On the front, the top and bottom are slightly higher than the middle of the phone. Magsafe works perfectly. I didn't like using it before but now with this case, being sleek as it is, I sometimes use it for car mounts and stands, being able to stick it on the back whenever I want. This case is wonderful! It fits my Pixel 9 Pro XL like a glove. It does not add any unnecessary bulk yet provides excellent protection. I dropped my phone in my driveway and my phone was damage free. It has excellent screen protection and does not interfere with gestures. Camera protection is more than adequate as well. Most of all and very important to me, is the ability to use my ESR MagSafe car charger and Belkin Desktop charger. The magnet inside the case has more than enough strength to hold the phone to the mount, even under rough driving conditions. The volume and power buttons feel great and do not require any extra effort to press. The case itself has a nice texture on the and so far has proven to be scuff resistant. The side has a nice diamond type texture which offers a great grip, but doesn’t get stuck in your pocket. Highly recommend this case to anyone with a Pixel! ... show more

I liked the case itself. Like they say on the site, feels good in the hand. Nice camera proteccion that keeps the lens away from the table even if you have the added thickness of a lens protector on it. It has extra grip on the sides, which keeps it from slipping from your hand. Not at all bulky, nice basic design, and I think a guy would appreciate it more than a girl. This case is so fantastic. I've tried several cases for my Pixel 9, and this is by far my favorite. It's super thin and adds almost no bulk, so the phone still fits very comfortably in my hand. So many other cases made the phone feel just large enough that it was a bit uncomfortable to hold. The texture on the sides and back of this case is nice and grippy and feels great when you're holding it. The texture also resists fingerprints. Now that I've had this for a while, cases made from smooth material (which is almost every other case these days) feel so greasy and slippery in comparison. The buttons make the most incredibly satisfying clicky sound -- crisp and precise. The part that covers the camera seems very protective while retaining the camera's distinctive pill shape. Overall, it looks and feels great, fits this phone like a glove, and I love that it lets the Pixel 9 aesthetic shine through. I ended up buying a second one because I like it so much.
