I’ve tried more mascaras than I care to admit, and somehow I keep coming back to this one. The Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara in Black is one of those “simple but gets the job done” products. First off, it gives a really natural look. If you’re expecting dramatic, sky-high lashes, this isn’t that girl. But if you want something that separates your lashes nicely, adds a bit of length, and doesn’t look clumpy or overdone, it’s perfect. I like that I can build it up a little without it turning into a mess. The brush is classic and easy to use, which honestly feels like a relief in a world full of weird, spiky, bendy wands. It grabs even the smaller lashes without smudging everywhere. It also doesn’t weigh my lashes down, which is a big win. Wear-wise, it lasts pretty well throughout the day. I didn’t notice major flaking or smudging, and it removes easily at night without having to scrub my eyes like I’m trying to erase my past. Overall, it’s affordable, reliable, and great for everyday wear. If you’re looking for something subtle and fuss-free, this is definitely worth picking up. Love this mascara! It goes on smoothly and evenly. This is what I use for my base coat. It works so well and you can't beat the price....ever! One of my daily wears! I will definitely continue to purchase it!

I personally favor Rimmel's mascaras above all others in the realm of affordable make up. The best mascara I have ever used in the history of my life-and for only around six bucks or so- was Rimmel's "scandaleyes" mascara. I still absolutely stand by that. You should really go and get that if you can. Even so, given the price of this, I'm still very impressed. What I love about these mascaras is the fact that they never seem to clump, even if you are an unhygienic heathen like myself and don't take it all off before applying more. I really dig that feathery, natural look. If you're into spider-legged weird lashes, look elsewhere. This does add volume and darkness. I like the brush, as it's kind of long and small-tipped and feels precise, especially for getting those tiny corner lashes. It stays on all day for me. However, I have to give it 4 stars because it doesn't add the gorgeous length the other Rimmel mascara does. Even so, if you're just looking for a super SUPER cheap add-on to score you that free shipping and don't have another 4 bucks or so, I'd absolutely go with this. It's still better than most of the other, more-pricey-but-still-cheapo mascara you get from Walmart or your drugstore, and if that's what you've been using until this point, you'll probably be really impressed. ... show more
