This headset is everything I could ask for in a gaming headset. I have been doing online gaming since 2006 when the PS3 launched and now continue to do so on PS4. I have gone through several different brands of headsets and almost all of them had some form of major flaw. I spent weeks debating which $150 headset to buy looking for patterns in the product reviews. Every product will have some negative reviews that have a similar issue which can be chalked up to a bad batch but you really learn the truth when the medium reviews start to back up the bad as well. All the other headsets had structural week spots, sporadic sound quality, were uncomfortable or had mediocre mics. I chose this headset because despite lacking a few of the bells and whistles it is a trusted brand that’s been making headsets for decades. It’s even the same brand used in my wife’s office. I figured it would be comfortable which it most definitely is as well as feeling light weight at the same time. At the same time the elastic band provides a snug fit no matter the size of your head so your headset doesn’t go flying off if you pick something up or move your head quickly. Due to the company’s history in the business I expected a top quality mic and was not disappointed. As a bonus all you have to do to mute the mic is flip it upward which is much more convenient than fumbling for a button. Lastly I expected a solid pair of speakers to give me solid sound clarity that I expected to give a B+ rating but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound this headset provides and in Reality it earned a solid A+ rating in sound going above and beyond what i expected from this brand providing the best audio I’ve ever experienced from a headset. The first game I played was 7 days to die and I immediately noticed ambient sounds I never knew existed. It was several minutes until I encountered a group of zombies to open fire on. When I did I was blown away at the level of bass and clarity of the sound. Then integrity of the sound never compromised during the several minutes of automatic gunfire and the quality of sound made me feel I was at the gun range shooting the guns in real life. As icing on the cake the battery life on this headset is ridiculously long and it took seconds to set up. This is far better than I ever expected from a wireless headset and can’t recommend it enough to anyone currently looking in this price range.

Best headset I've ever owned. I've used a Plantronics RIG 400HX for the last 4 years and my microphone stopped working on Tuesday. I ordered the 800HS on Wednesday and the headset was here in less than 24 hours. Super fast shipping! The reason I stuck with the RIG is the amount of comfort. I use my headset for 8+ hours a day and to have something comfortable that doesn't hurt my ears or my head is a must. This headset is the exact same comfort as my previous headset, I love it! What impressed me other than the comfort is the sound. You can toggle whether you want to hear music clearer or voice clearer. The equalizer settings are nice also. The sound quality is so much better than the 400HX. To spend $30 more on this headset and it is wireless, is money well spent. I received a Razor headset a couple years ago for Christmas and I've only used it a hand full of times because it is very tight on the ears and uncomfortable. So thank you very much for the quick delivery and great product.

I bought this ones in 2018, after some busted Astros I bought. 2 years in and still use them. Only thing that is a littled bit banged up are the ear cushions that are already stretched, but is because all of the usage that It has gotten. Sound quality is really good. You really dont need the whole 5.1 ultra atomic surround sound noise cancelling so you can hear ants walking in your games stuff that other headphones try to sell. The boom mic is pretty cool too. You can pull the mic up to mute yourself and if you want to make your teammates ears to explode, you can move your mic closer for maximum loudness. Battery life is pretty good,too. I have left this guys on for 3 days (because I always forget to turn th off) and when I get on my PS4 again, they still have some juice in them (about medium battery power). Only thing that is a bit dissapointing is the voice chat adjustment. I think its more for PC gaming instead than for PS4. Still great headsets. Should give it a go if you don't want to spend $300 for some other MLG Pro headsets that might get screwed up fast.

Great sound, but not as advertised. You cannot toggle between chat and game sound. It only turns game and chat volume up and down. I replaced the optical cable for a ridiculously priced one and it makes not difference. I contacted plantronics and they didn’t care, just told me to return it if it didn’t do what I thought it would. But chat/game sound ratio is important to me. So I gues I’ll be returning it. Unfortunately because I really love it otherwise. Fits great, sound is great. Just can’t stand hearing some cough or talk loudly in my ear without being able to turn them down or off. Edit: it does in fact toggle between game & party chat. It just requires a very specific configuration which is not mentioned in the directions. I had to go to Reddit to find out how. That being said, it does work as advertising, just needs instructions. I am now very happy with this headset!

I've been thru many headsets over the years, (heavy gamer) many broke because the headband sliders would break. This headset does not have sliders, but ear cups that snap on. The headband is so strong it can be twisted like a pretzel and not break ! This is great for me as i use them with a PlayStation VR headset which requires them to be spread extra wide to be put on . Sound and controls are also excellent ! and the battery does last for 24 hours ! I could not be more happy with this headset !
