I love this thing, but wouldn’t use it if I had to use this more than an couple of hours or so. It’s super heavy and very clunky. But it beats hauling my small air compressor, hose and gun in and out of my job site just to install 30’ of toe-skins on cabinets and/or install cabinet scribe moldings.     • Much better than the previous model. Powerful and quiet!
Used it for all my trim work in a bathroom remodel. This is much better than the previous model I had which had the knob style power adjustment. Mine was actually defective after purchasing at home depot soI returned it and bought this one here for about the same price. Much better power and depth adjustments you can fine tune but with a 4.0 amp battery I did a full remodel of a bathroom and used it for my all my trim and moulding work. Base and crown moulding, plus window and door trim and a bunch of quarter round around the tub and shower plus a few other thin boards here and there and so had half or more battery. It's day I shot about a couple hundred mix 2 1/4" and 2.5" brads so it's prob you'd with that battery you around 500 shots. It's heavier especially with the 4.0 amp battery but it's also thicker so getting into tight spaces is an issue compared to my pneumatic nailer. But I managed just fine with this as you rarely are in that tight of a space. I even got under the vanity which is on legs to secure base moulding behind even though it won't be seen. I highly recommend this though for portability and versatile if you already use the rigid lineup. Plus no co2 cartridges required just battery and strip of nails and type ready to go basically. I can't believe how many negative reviews there are. I absolutely love this. For little jobs like baseboard and trim around the house this is a game changer to not have to bring out the compressor and disrupt the whole house. Yes the #1 negative review is true, there are a ton of misfires, but so what, you just keep moving on. You lose two seconds of your life. Compare that against the time it takes to hook up the compressor and blow everybody's ear drums. For the low cost and the convenience this gives, any DIYer should get one of these ESPECIALLY if you already have Rigid tools and batteries. ... show more

*** IF PURCHASED HERE YOU WILL NOT GET THE RIDGID LIFETIME SERVICE AGREEMENT**** Pretty bummed to find out I don’t get the service agreement on this because it wasn’t purchased at Home Depot. Regardless, I love this nailer. I purchased it because I was already on the Ridgid battery platform and couldn’t be happier. I’ve shot over 2000 nails through it and have yet to have a jam. It’s also very easy to adjust for different softness woods as well. ... show more

    • Jams Frequently
Unit consistently jams, you have to unlatch the front and use a pair of fly fishermans forecasts to pluck out the jammed nail. And I mean it jams frequently, if you get 10 nails to go in in a row you are lucky. This unit either is a bad design in general or my unit is a lemon. Essentially unusable on the job; you're up on a ladder, it jams, you have to climb down and go do surgery to un-jam it. ... show more
