Best tool purchase I've made in a long while. I'm very please with this scope. I've used the ones that wirelessly connect to your phone. Hands down those are junk compared to this guy. The focus is great, you can see throughout the cavity your peering into. The other one I used would only focus within 5-8 inchs. What good is that if you need to look into a wall or down a wire run. The LED lights on the camera head are bright enough to blind you. It comes with a nice case and head attachments, mirror, hook and magnet. I bought this for boat repairs and it's paid for itself in one use. The only strike against it is the LCD screen viewing angle isn't great, you have to be looking dead on. This can be tough when you are trying to guide the camera with two hands inside the cavity you're searching. If you're kicking around which unit to purchase, between the wireless phone el cheapo or this one, there's no competition. This one takes the prize. Spend the extra couple of bucks and you'll have a tool that you'll want to keep at hand all the time. ... show more

I bought this in the hope that it would help me see things better while doing certain DIY repairs. Unfortunately, the field of view is so narrow, and the picture quality so poor, that it can be pretty hard to keep the camera honed in on an object of interest while working on said object. At <$100, it's cheaper than similar tools, but it's not really as versatile or as easy-to-use as I had hoped. ... show more

Haven't used it but within the house picture quality is very good. I purchased one before in the cord would tangle within the first four feet this is very rigid and will be able to be pushed into the pipe like it's supposed to

We are construction managing a job in a building with a secure file room. we had to inspect a return air shaft behind a wall with out making a dusty mess. The PM on the job wanted to take down a 3' square section of the wall for the inspection. This camera eliminated the need. All we did was drill a 1" hole through the sheet rock and got all the info we needed for our inspection. With this tool we saved time, money, and the problem of a huge mess. This Ridgid Inspection camera is just the ticket. I haven't used it too much yet but plan to use it soon to inspect the disc brakes on my cars. Many times it's difficult to get a light and a mirror in the right position so you can see the wear left on the brake pads. So that then means taking the wheel off for the inspection, or paying to have someone do it...so this camera will do the trick. With the 90 degree mirror that attaches to the camera head there's nothing that you can't do. Excellent clear color image. Very nice case to store the unit in also. ... show more
