While this is a nice product and I appreciate its handiness, it is without a doubt very small and the photos in the product description can be tricky and unintentionally deceptive. It's about 3.5 in x 6 in, and 9.5 inches tall (description says 11.5 inches tall, but that includes the cup that sits on top.) For perspective, a typical smartphone these days is about 3x6, so picture your smartphone going straight up for less than the height of a sheet of printer paper. This is a SMALL container, make sure you know that before you buy it. There are larger options made by this same seller, but for some reason the larger container's photos look absolutely identical to this small version. ... show more

    • THis thing is pretty great but I have three complaints

1) It doesn't quite fit a five pound bag of Asian medium grain rice.... at least not for me. 2) The cup is a little clumsy putting back on. 3) The measurements on the cup are hard to read. Oh, and for what you get, I think it's expensive. If this were half the price, I'd say it was worth it but not at this price. ... show more

I ordered this for rice, like the description. The pictures implied it was bigger than it really was. There is no way that a box of cereal will fit in this or anything move than a very small bag of rice. I will be returning. This is the size to hold maybe a bag of powdered sugar. 3 stars because I'm sure it's a good holder for something small, but definitely not for what it was advertised to hold. ... show more

I got this to store cat food in, with the measuring cup provided it makes it that much easier to measure how much I feed the kitties. I've had this for 7 months now and use it daily so the markings on the measuring cup is fading, but still as good.

I already had one of these and it was so great that I bought another. I used the first one to store rice in. Once a box of rice is opened it is hard to seal it up tight enough to make sure bugs stay out. This item solves the problem and helps to keep whatever you place in it fresher longer. I plan to use the new one for storing dried pasta. The handy measuring cup on the lid is an added bonus. It makes getting just the right amount very hand without having to drag out another measuring cup. I may buy another one or two in the future if the need arises. Great Product. ... show more
