Well, it's Rhodia. This is my first notebook from them, and it lived up to the hype. The hardcover feels super premium and is soft to the touch. The paper has been great and holds up to my fountain pens well. I like the slightly off-white paper and lined ruling as well. There is some ghosting, though. It's not enough to bother me, as it's quite minimal. I have had no issues with bleed or feathering using Noodler's Air Corps ink in a Noodler's Konrad fountain pen and rollerball. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The ribbon bookmark is higher quality than some lesser notebooks I've used, and so is the elastic band. It's a bit expensive for the size of notebook it is, but I guess you pay a bit for the name and the quality. ... show more

I use these for work and they are perfect. The paper is soft, holds many different inks without leaking through and absorbs ink that is a little wetter, quickly. I also appreciate the string for a page holder, I use it frequently. The cover is somewhat soft, so it's nice to hold and walk around with and the variety of colors that comes in lets me differentiate between what I put in different notebooks at a glance. I also like that it has the elastic band, as it allows me to put a could things inside the front cover without fear of them always falling out, since it keeps it tightly closed. ... show more

This recent Rhodia is my fourth. I keep buying because of their superior performance. The 90gsm paper handle fountain pen ink extremely well. The binding is sewn so it lasts. I highly recommend!

I love these notebooks, but it takes forever for a fountain pen writing to dry - you need to place a piece of paper between pages otherwise a mirror copy of the writing will show up in the opposite page.

After using Moleskine notebooks for several years for my daily journals, I searched for a similar style that had paper that wouldn't bleed through when I used my fountain pens on it. Found these journals and am so glad I did. They're made exactly like the Moleskine ones, but the paper is just a little thicker. My fountain pens don't bleed through the page, and they're very smooth writing. I like the feel of the outside covers, which come in several colors, and the ribbon marker inside.
