    • Best frame case, probably best case for iPhone X
I’m not sure where the negative reviews come from on this product. I have the iPhone X and this case is neither difficult to put on nor take off. Both can be achieved with relative ease. On to the review… The evolutive labs iPhone X slim bumper case is a great case. I have gone through Best Buy and other stores and tried literally every case available on my iPhone 10. This includes cases from speck, incase, OtterBox, and many others. In comparison with the speck case, this frame case is far easier to put on the iPhone X. I was particularly interested in the speck presidio clear case, and that is the one that I am comparing it to for fit. The incase frame case was possibly easier to put on but the material of that case was flimsy and the lip was not raised enough on either side to cover or protect either the front screen or the back glass. I have dropped my phones over the years probably once or twice a month so I was looking for a phone case that would protect the phone for normal drops including drops where the screen lands face down and in iPhone X situation where the back of the phone could land face down. What was also important to me is that the case looks good. The iPhone X is one of the best looking phones but Apple has ever made, and showing off the back and the front of the phone are very important. In terms of usability the front of the case should be black because that is the color of the very thin bezel around the front of the iPhone X. Furthermore the iPhone X has a different colored bezel around the side of the phone. Almost any case will cover this. One possible way around this, or so I thought, was to get the clear case which I thought would allow the bezel and the back of the phone to show through to some degree. However in reality the clear cases really don’t allow you to see to any degree the bezel or the back of the phone. The result of the clear cases in terms of looks is that it basically masks the look of the phone completely. So I ruled out the clear cases based on that. After having watched a video review of the Evolutive labs mod case, what was particularly interesting was the strength of the case. So when I received this case I was pleased to find that it was able to be put on the phone with relative ease and in fact had a better fit than most of the other cases that I tried on despite the relative firmness of the material. One thing to note is that this case does feel relatively slippery. Compared to the stainless steel bezel on the naked phone, this case does not grip the hand as much and you will find yourself holding on to the back of the phone which is surprisingly grippy. If you have ever put your hand on a clean window and tried to move it you will know what I’m talking about. After using the case for the better part of a day I have already noticed that the case is becoming slightly grippier. The height of the lip of the case is just right to protect the screen on the front of the phone and is about a half a millimeter or so higher than the camera on the back of the phone. I am fairly confident that this will be enough to protect the back and the front of the phone. Overall this is great case that shows off the phone but provides enough bump protection on the corner and sides of the phone. In terms of looks, you don’t see the lovely stainless bezel anymore, but the phone looks great from the front (all black) and great from the back (white in my case). Enjoy! ... show more

These are the only kind of cases I use on my phones. They are lightweight, minimally bulky, and do a great job of protecting your device. Dropped my phone numerous times on tile, concrete, asphalt, the case has held up with no damage to my device.

Like the style and the grip of it. Bump really helped protecting from fall. But the extra bottom part kept getting out of the shape may be for being different material from the case. I am liking using it. Overall present is awesome!

This is my second Rhinoshield Bumper for my iPhone 12 Pro, I wanted a cheery color for Spring so I purchased the lovely green color. I have a custom photo backplate I ordered directly from Rhinoshield when I purchased my iPhone 12 Pro at release and it is holding up great and still looks nice. Another nice feature of these bumpers is you can switch out the buttons for another color. My first bumper was the matching blue color of my iPhone 12 so I used the blue buttons from it in the new green bumper and I love it. Just a really fun system design wise. Now for durability; I have a farm and I drop my phone a lot, in the past I have used Otterbox but I really wanted something less bulky then the Defender and the case I really love from them, the Pursuit, they have not made for iPhone 12 / 12 Pro. Rhinoshield has been protecting my Apple Watch for a couple years so I decided to take a chance and try them for my phone. My blue bumper has been a champ for protecting my phone against numerous drops on gravel, asphalt, concrete, Pergo, wood floors and linoleum! There is some slight sign of being dropped on the bumper but my phone has zero damage. I have noticed that the proprietary TPU that Rhinoshield uses has self healing properties similar to rotary cutting mats. The bumper also developed a nice patina over time similar to how leather ages. The blue color has not faded or yellowed over the 6+ months of use as can happen with some TPU products. Lastly, my custom photo back plate is in much better condition then I could have expected with age, not much scratching on it and they print the photos/art on the inside to protect it from scratches or marring, very well made product and I will be ordering a second custom plate soon. ... show more
