Got into food photography and needed a light setup. After a good amount of research, I decided on this set based on what I'm looking for. After playing with it for my project, I'm very delighted. I like the various colors and intensity of the light. There's a lot of customization based on what I was trying to accomplish. You can get a lot of warmth/yellow light or cooler/blue light based on the Kelvin temp scale. Also, there are other colors in the RGB grid like blue, yellow, orange, etc. I will definitely explore blue light soon! Oh yeah, it comes with a remote! In terms of built, the setup comes with two solid stands. They are pretty sturdy and hold the light units without wobble. Easy adjustments with knobs. No issue at all. Check out my photo of tomatoes and how I used the setup to the right. It gave good directional light and illuminated the photo. I do vision engineering so lighting is essential when imagine products and these are perfect. They’re remote controlled so I don’t have to constantly move to change the light and they’re rgb so they’re perfect for any application I might use them in. Will be buying another set soon

    • Versatile and Reliable Light for Various Needs
The media could not be loaded. This adjustable tripod stand and light panel combo has proven to be an indispensable asset for my photo and video projects. The aluminum alloy stand is sturdy, extending from 33" to79" with ease. The U-shaped mounting bracket offers 360-degree rotation, giving me the flexibility to achieve the perfect lighting angle. The light quality is impressive with both bi-color and RGB options. With 644 LEDs, I can adjust the color temperature between 2300k and 8500k and play around with 27 color modes. The brightness is also adjustable from 0% to 100%, allowing me to create the desired atmosphere for my work. A big plus is the heat dissipation feature. The built-in fan kicks in automatically when needed, and the aluminum design seems to disperse heat effectively. I haven't had any issues with overheating. The package also comes with AC adapters, diffusers, and even a remote control. While the remote requires 2 AA batteries, which aren't included, it's a minor issue given the overall utility and performance of this product.     • Without flaws, but a decent budget light set
These are not exactly what I would call professional lights. They are a little bit lower in power than your typical video panel light. And they lack sophisticated controls. There is also no information panel to give you feedback on the light settings. These are all things that a professional would need. But to balance it out these are also significantly cheaper than professional lighting panels. The first thing I notice is that there are no controls on the light. There are in-line rudimentary controls on the power cable but you’re really going to want to use the remote to get the most out of these lights. Again you have no informational readouts however. No indication of the color temperature or the RGB range. This also suffers from the same issue that almost every panel light I’ve ever seen suffers from. Which is you cannot tell them down while you’re using the barn doors because the barn doors interfere with the U bracket that holds the lights. You would have to remove the barn doors in order to get a full range of tilt motion. This is hardly unique to this set as it seems to be an issue with every single panel light I have ever seen. Not allowing this to affect the rating, just letting the reader know to be aware of this issue. The barn doors come off as a complete unit so you can for instance takeoff the sides and leave the top and bottom. The other thing about these lights is they are only 50 W which is not very bright. Typical professional studio lights will be between 100 and 150 W for a panel light. So there are two of them but at maximum brightness you’re still only getting 100 W. It’s still a very solid beginner set for the price. It just doesn’t have the precision controls the professionals are used to. The panels have a good thermal management but I wouldn’t exactly call them quiet so if you’re shooting video you need to be aware that the lights will be making some noise. I am not a fan of these in-line controls and you end up with the more messier set of cables than just a simple power cable that you can tuck away because you need access to the control unit, The lights in the stands are aluminum and the build quality in finish are pretty good. You not only get the lights but you get the stands and the remote control and all the power cords and they carry bag to keep them all together. The price is very reasonable for what you’re getting and as I said this makes a decent beginner set. Perfect for doing YouTube videos or tick-tock or what not. But I do not think these lights are within the range of a professional. ... show more
