I would have given this 5-Stars, but I had trouble when I first booted it up. When I turned the power on for the first time the Anbernic logo was stuck on the screen and nothing I did could change it. I looked at their support and I did the steps they suggested. The last step was to flash the memory card and since I changed and updated the software it has been so amazing! If I was someone who didn't know how to flash the memory card with new software, I would have been stuck. With that out of the way, this little machine is amazing. Again, once I flashed the memory card with new software it has been amazing playing all the classics all the way up to PS1/N64. That's the max level of console that this little beast can handle. It has amazing battery life and I'm really amazed at how loud the speakers get. My hands are a little on the large side, so playing for an extended amount of time they get a little sore, but that's my parent's fault, not Anbernic's. If you're used to the small joysticks of a Switch, you'll be right at home with the joysticks on this. I was able to easily do hadōkens in Street Fighter and I could do shōryūkens too, but that took some time to get down. Those motions are my barometer of how good a joystick is. For the price this little machine is hard to beat. If you're looking to get into retro handhelds this would be a great entry point before spending a lot more money on a more powerful machine. Again, if I would not have had the software hiccups at the beginning, I would have given this an easy 5 Stars!

This little handheld game console is pretty awesome! It functions well and is fun to play. Comes with lots of pre-installed retro games. The games are alphabetized and for some reason the main set of games only goes up to the Ms, and that's it - that's about 400+ games though, which is a lot. We think there are probably more games in there from M-Z but can't figure out how to access them. Will keep playing with it and see if we can figure it out. You can also add new games too. For what it is, we feel like it's a lot of fun and a good value - could be improved with some kind of search function to make finding specific games a bit easier. But it runs great!

I own several SBC units... This is what I think of this one... I'm an Abernec fan and own two other and this one would be least favorite. Gameplay is decent for anything PS1 and below... When you start getting into Dreamcast or N64 you will run into many latency issues, can play some, but not all. Battery in stand by is terrible... If unit is not plugged in constantly it will drain just sitting there turned off. The stock OS is terrible, you will need to update it right out of the box... I put batocera on mine. Over all ok... But you can get better performance with a 351P than this unit. 3 stars because of horrible battery.

This thing is amazing! It has most games I could think of from my childhood and hundreds more! It’s extremely easy to use. Space Invaders, Contra, Paperboy, Mortal Combat, etc…. Didn’t take the time to look up the number, but there are hundreds upon hundreds of games pre-loaded on the memory card. The only downside is that it doesn’t seem to have a “search” function, but I may be missing it. With 1000 (?) games, it can be time consuming to find the one you’re looking for. I recommend using the favorite function, making it easy to find the games you play all in one place. It does not have any of the Mario games on it but that can be remedied very easily. It’ll even play Nintendo 64 games, although it doesn’t come with any. With some strategic searching, that can be remedied easily as well. In short, if you enjoy retro games from a variety of systems, this thing is must buy!

Seriously this thing is quite the toy. Mostly for adults, it has a million different games already preloaded onto it that you can choose from. Whether it’s a knock off version of Pac-Man, or it’s an actual version of grand theft auto, it has plenty to choose from depending on your taste. I chose grand theft auto because I was so surprised it was even on there and, with the exception of an occasional lag, it actually has you playing the game! So fricking cool.
