I ordered a XL despite the size chart recommending a XXL. I'm SO glad I went with the XL. It fit all the way to the tightest notch on me. And had great compression on my stomach area. I probably could have got a L and had it on the loosest for a tighter fit... I know it's hard to find a perfect fit, especially on just reading reviews online. I really love this. I've had weight loss surgery and lost almost 200lbs and have had 4 kids. So I have loose skin that I'm insecure about. Surgery isn't an option right now. So I own alot of Spanx and shapewear. This is one of my favorites. I love how adjustable the middle is so I can control how tight I want it to be. At the tightest I get that nice hourglass shape but it's not very comfortable. Better for short periods of time and special occasions. At the first setting I still get a nice smooth and slimmer look but it's much more comfortable. My only complaint is the hooks in the crotch area break very easily.
