I was hesitant to buy this Revlon product seeing that some of the reviews were negative. I am very happy I bought it. I suffer from patches of dry flaky skin in the summer and winter, I tried everything, multiple types of face scrubs, a face srubbing mitt, etc but those dry patches of skin on my face still remained. I used this Revlon Microderm abrasion wand not optimistic that it'd work at all. I was shocked how well it worked, the dry patches of skin were easy to remove with this Revlon product and I no longer have patches of dry flaky skin on my face. It is a fantastic product that is easy to use and well worth the money. Only negatives are I personally don't like the very small handle, wish it were wider and more ergonomic and with it being the first time I used a microderm abrasion product it left my skin on my face looking slightly sunburnt and my skin is slightly irritated.     • Skin felt smooth.
I have been suffering from flaky dry skin. I got this hoping it would get most of that off my face. It did remove a lot of it, not all. It is very soft on the skin so it doesn’t feel like it is “scraping”. At fist I didn’t think it was doing much but the places I had used it felt smooth. My skin wasn’t red afterwards either. I would give 5 stars if it had smoothed out all of the dry flaky spots. ... show more

I used it the same day it arrived & so this is my initial impression of the Revlon Microdermabrasion wand. Instructions were clear to NOT use it while the wand is dry. I was curious as to why, so I ran my finger across the surface of the silver part & I instantly understood why. As smooth as it MAY APPEAR, it uses real diamond grit, and MAN, the way it caught on the skin of my finger was surprising so please be careful! After that I hopped in the shower, washed my face with a gentle cleanser, wet the wand and used it as instructed, not going in a circular motion. There was little to no friction. Holding my skin taut, I did make a couple passes in some areas thinking they needed extra exfoliation. Big No-no. Afterwards my skin felt very smooth!! However, I felt slight burning when applying my skincare products and I knew I had overdone it with making a couple passes in some areas as it burned more there. Lesson learned.     • Not as effective on Mature skin as I wanted
I bought to use as a prep tool before applying a dark spot fading cream to improve fine lines and uneven skin tone. I haven't seen a change in skin texture or appearance, that may be due to mature skin. I would not buy again.
