  • Works Great !!!
Style: Lunchbox Size x 5
When received I had my doubts because you just fill the packets with water. However I tried them and after a full day in Florida heat (in my cooler) and they were still frozen solid. I'd buy again !!!

  • lasts for hours and keeps food cold
I used Frostvolt ice packs in my Odoland 48-Can Large Cooler Bag to do a shopping trip to Costco (a 90 minute drive from my condo). I took a few cans of soda with me to drink when I got there as I shopped. When I got to the store, my soda was still very cold and the cooler felt cold inside.. After Costco, we went to the grocery store and then a home good store. That took a couple of hours after Costco, then we went home. So, the Costco food (some frozen and some refrigerated) was in the cooler for 4 hours after purchase in 90 degree outside heat (2 hours of that in my black truck that was not running). When we got home, all the food was cold, frozen stuff was still frozen (no sign of melting) and refrigerated stuff was cold. The ice packs were still solid and cold, so they really lasted well. At $12 for 2 of these, they are a good deal for something that works well. ... show more

  • Great reusable ice packs
Style: Lunchbox Size x 3
First things first, when you open the cap on these hold them upright. These are filled with some sort of beads/powder that when mixed with water creates the long lasting freezable liquid. While I noticed this before opening my husband did not and spilled some of the mixture out of one. Luckily the description states whatever that filling is it is non toxic. Once you have the cap off you will fill these up with water. For the first one I measured out the listed ounces and used the funnel and it was actually a little too much liquid. For the 2nd and 3rd pouch I just stuck them under a slow small stream of water and filled until full. You then plug them up with included plugs and screw the lid back on. I have been using these for a couple weeks in my lunch bag and do use all three for keeping food cool for 8 hours. I have no idea where the 48 hour claim would come from. Maybe if they are immersed in liquid? Maybe the larger ice packs? I have had no issues with leaks and at the end of the day you just pop em back in the freezer and they are ready to go again by the next morning. I think they are a great deal at less than $15. ... show more

  • Great Ice Packs!
Nothing bad to say about these! They're a great size and shape and (obviously depending on the conditions and the quality of the cooler you're using) stay cold for hours and hours. Since I got mine, the description and pictures have been updated, so when I got them I didn't know that these were not your typical refillable ice packs. These have chemical beads inside that react with the water that you only add yourself once. It comes with a funnel, and it says you need to add exactly 28 oz. I filled mine to 28 oz but it didn't feel right so I (breaking the rules), did add a bit more water. Overall, they work great, each to freeze and use, stay cold for hours, and a great price point. I definitely recommend these ice packs. ... show more

  • Reusable Ice Packs for Cooler and Lunch Boxes
I thought I would like these better than the hard plastic ones. I don't. At least the size and form don't change with the hard plastic ones. I placed these in the freezer overnight. I pulled them out the following day to place in the cooler with bottled water I leave out for our mail carrier and delivery peeps. The spout corner froze in a bent position and I couldn't get the lid on the cooler. ... show more

  • Initial fill can be annoying, have someone on hand to help
Once you're past the initial fill, these are great. They stay frozen for hours and hours. They're durable (we have some from 3 years ago that are just now getting replaced and they get used every single week (help keep groceries cold). So yeah, have someone on hand to help with the initial fill and you'll be good to go for a good chunk of time. Easy recommendation. ... show more

  • Work as well as the name brands!
Style: Lunchbox Size x 3
You do need to fill these with water when you first get them and it’s a bit of a pain but once you do that you are set. These are a convenient size for lunch boxes or supplementing larger packs in a cooler. I’ve been using them in a titan backpack cooler and they have worked really well. In my chest freezer they get down to about 0 degrees reading from a temp gun. Maybe they would stay frozen for 48 hours if they were just in a bucket of ice but more realistically half a day or a day. The nozzle where you fill them seems like it may be a weak point but it has held up well so far. Overall, I would buy these again and don’t see any benefit to the “name brand” packs. ... show more
