The assembly had me slightly confused, but the quality and durability seem to be very high. Even the padding of the seat feels nice, not cheap feeling material. Our 1 year old hasn't started walking yet, and he wasn't very interested in the bike initially. But after about a month, he now enjoys sitting on it and pushing the bike around with his feet. The base of the wheels is wide enough that it offers a fair amount of stability, but it still requires a certain amount of upright balance to prevent tipping over.
