Six rectangular vents on top facilitate thorough ventilation throughout your helmet. Cool, fresh air rushes in and pushes out stuffy, stagnant air to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable. Our ultralight Dakota helmet also comes with 2 sets of inner pads that vary in thickness for you to customize your fit and optimize your comfort. Ten rectangular vents facilitate thorough ventilation as you move.

Wanted a full head coverage helmet that was also light colored to add additional visibility to my commute. Have been happy with the padding, chinstrap, and overall coverage. It is light, but not featherweight hence the 4/5 but I was not looking for a featherweight helmet - I know it is there, but it does not put a load on my head or neck. I got into a accident while wearing this. I was going 25 mph when I collided and received no head injury. I hit the pavement with the helmet and it did a great job of absorbing the blow. The paramedics and ER doctor were surprised I didnt have a TBI.

My 6 year old loves that I have a helmet that matches his! the green color pictured is slightly darker in the picture but it still looks good overall. I haven't had a spill (yet) with it on but it seems the cushion between your head and the shell if more than sufficient. The provided strap is comfortable and adjusts well. Tip: use the strap cushion that comes with the helmet. I usually toss that stuff but I found that it really make a difference in how comfortable I am on long rides. ... show more
