  • Good product
Pros: The battery last amazingly long even with little charge. The weight is so light makes everyone else with active glasses super jealous immediately. The lenses have no weird color like the projector active glasses competition that come in green and brown and different colors in each eye, so it doesn't tweak the image toward those colors. It is amazing how they don't need an emitter at all and immediately synchronize with your screen with just the touch of the bottom It has 2 settings. For 3D content one works to see the 3D and the other works to see the 3D content in 2D. For simulated 3D one setting works for depth and the other one for pop, but the pop is minimum, it's simulated 3D anyway. The 3D depending on the content can be amazing, for example I have some downloaded 3D movies that don't have too much resolution and they still look good. But then there are these other movies with incredible picture quality 6,000 Kbps, that look like real life if not better. Absolutely no shadowing or ghosting, everything looks sharp. They come with cloth to clean them. They feel like passive glasses, and feel even better in terms of weight and size in relation to the ones you get in the movie theater. Cons: The image quality is not as good as the image quality you get with the XL Premium ones. These ones have a whitish contrast that you don't see on the Firestorm ones. The Firestorm ones are a lot better because they get rid of that whitish contrast. For some people they can feel small because you have to seat straight to get the best of them, I think the size is perfect and I have a big head since I'm 6'3" The legs can easily break or bend if you seat on them, but that's just with any glasses, I sat on one and the leg felt off, but the glasses still work perfectly so all I needed is to attached it back I ordered 4 and one did not work at all, it wouldn't synchronize at all, but when I return it, they gave me my money back right away. I highly recommend them, definitely the second best active glasses in the market for active 3D ready projectors. ... show more

  • Work perfectly.
I'll preface this by saying that this is one of my first reviews on this site, but here it goes: I've had these glasses for several days now and from my somewhat limited experience and by watching two movies with them I can tell you that they work exactly as described. These are not top-of-the-line glasses, so they aren't perfect. But if you are looking to get some solidly working 3D glasses for cheap then I haven't found any that are better value (or really just cheaper at all) than these. They are not really sturdy but they get the job done well. The nose-piece isn't perfect but with a little adjustment while wearing them they are fairly comfortable. They also aren't very wide as others have stated but I haven't had a single problem seeing my entire screen comfortably. The glasses work perfectly from my experience. They sync up instantly and have not lost sync once. The button on top is easy to use and the LED is very visible. My setup: Optoma HD25e projecting onto a 125" screen with the main sitting area roughly 10' away from the screen. All I had to do to get everything working was to change the 3D mode in the projector to "DLP Link" (only have to do once), fire up a movie, switch the 3D mode on using the button on the remote (to SBS or OU), and turn on the glasses. They work great. Summary: Not perfect but for the money I don't think you'll find anything better. They work... what else do you want? ... show more

  • You wont find a better set of glasses for the money, especially with the level of support you get from True Depth!
First of all and most important is that these glasses are amazing and are a great value for the money. My projector - BenQ W1070 Screen - DIY screen made from blackout cloth, was 60", now 100". I got these when I first purchased my current projector, since then I have moved my mount and increased the size of my screen. That is the only reason these glasses don't get 5 stars. Once I went to a larger screen, these lenses on these just seemed too small. I had to stay focused on the screen without much freedom to look around. The support from True Depth is great, any questions I had were answered very quickly. The packaging of the glasses is enough to protect them, but not an excessive amount that is more waste than practical. The protective bag they come with is nice, but it would be nicer to have a small hard case. As it is though, the bag is nice as it allows you to just throw them in the bag and put them wherever. You do not have to worry about them scratching a lot. The design, beyond the lenses, is great. Fully functional and light you barely know they are on. The batteries in these glasses are great, I have only had to charge them once. Syncing... I thought that due to the low cost of these glasses that the syncing would have a lot of issues, and I'm glad I was wrong. I have never had issues with the sync on these glasses. You turn it on, they sync immediately and only loose sync if you look for awhile. But when you look back towards the screen, it syncs back within seconds. In the end, if you have a smallish screen, or do not enjoy the weight of the larger glasses these are perfect and you wont find a better set of glasses for the money. True Depth really did great! ... show more
