This thing is cheap at $20. The games are in multiple languages (not selectable) and the menu can be challenging to navigate. Still fun. Once you find a couple games you like in the slightly logical list of 500 games you'll be able to get back to them fast enough when you run out of lives. There are instances of most of the big titles. No bandikoot from what I see. Still fun. The volume knob is there but it's on the lower left, away from all of the other controls. Still fun. The extra controller is red instead of the listed white. Still fun. For $20, I don't think this thing could lose a star unless the whole thing didn't work, and it does work.

This little handheld is a nice novelty, but would in no way replace a gameboy or other similar handheld. It does have a nice variety of games, and some of them bring back some fond memories. My issues with this are, that the screen is not very colorful, and appears washed out. The games list seems to be about 200-300 with many of the same games listed twice, so that it comes to 500. The sound isn't bad, and represents the original games sounds fairly well for the most part. The games don't seem to be tweaked for the faster speed of the newer microprocessor, and some run almost twice as fast as they should, making it hard to play. Also the sound is sped up and makes them annoying. If you are like me and get very into a game session, such that you press buttons more aggressively, this may cause issues, as too much pressure on any of the buttons, resets the device, losing your progress. Overall, it isn't a bad little pocket game, to pass the time playing some old favorites, but it can be frustrating. Overall, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

What's this got going for it? LOTS of quality games! There's 500 games, most of them are really, really good and very playable with this unit! The quality of the unit overall is "fine", the buttons work, they "wiggle" a bit when you're playing...they occasionally miss an input, but I can't really tell if that's just me if I'm being honest. It comes with a 2nd controller for 2-player games and a TV output cable if your TV supports the old analog inputs (older LCD/Plasmas do, newer cheaper models may not) like Video + L + R Audio RCA jacks. This is the cheapest 500 game unit I've ever seen on Amazon...it plays well and that's about all you need to know!

If you're like me, you've likely seen similar products advertised on social media. Unfortunately, this console does not live up to those internal expectations. While it does have a number of games that evoke nostalgia for those Saturday mornings playing NES, that’s where the positives end. The build quality of the unit is lightweight and feels oddly fragile, raising concerns about its durability. The screen is grainy, which makes the 8-bit games look even worse than you remember. Additionally, the provided controller does not match the unit as described in the product description, adding to the overall disappointment. The console claims to offer 500 titles, but the actual number of unique games is much lower due to numerous repeats and spoof versions of popular games. Although there are still many titles available, the gameplay experience is subpar, making it hard to truly enjoy the games on this unit. One redeeming feature is that the console can connect to an external monitor or TV, and it comes with a second controller. However, these features are not enough to compensate for the unit's shortcomings. In conclusion, this handheld gaming console falls short of expectations. It brings back some nostalgic feelings but fails to deliver a satisfying gaming experience. If you're looking for a fun and reliable way to relive those classic games, you might want to consider other options.
