  • Wish I knew sooner.
Ya know. I've read some off reviews on these but I play the pre 2000 games...and i love it. I ended up getting this because I wanted the atari tiger heli that was coming out. I decided to wait for the pacman version of the atari saw this while browsing. A few of the games (out of 1000s) are weird or don't work well (frogger) but there are different versions. For example with the frogger issue; i found frogger again under genesis and it works great. This is just an example. For the money- this cannot be beat. I know there are alot of similar gamestick 4k floating around. This one in particular works well; can't speak for the others or other versions. You basically get chronologically Atari to PS1. There are a lot of platforms I never heard of. One is called PC engine and its pretty cool. A+. Had it about a month and if it breaks tomorrow; it was worth it (I hope it doesn't). Plan on giving some of these for Christmas. I would imagine that just about every game you can think of from atari through sega genesis/Neo Geo is on here. There are a lot less PS1 games but there are a few. ... show more

  • Doesn't work and for the free minutes it did work it was really glitchy.
Junk, don't waste your money. They put a lot of money into making the controllers look nice but that's about it. Controllers are glitchy directional pads rarely work which makes gameplay frustrating. I'm submitting a photo of the most common glitch in the game where all of the emulated games that are supposed to be loaded just simply disappear and every time you press a button it just gives you a static screen. When it did work for the 15 minutes that I had it on in combat games the computer opponent deals 6 to 10 times the amount of damage that you deal with the same attack. Not to mention every other game I played like monopoly, racing, football, even games I have a lot of experience at it seems the computer is automatically set at the highest difficulty and there's no way to change that. I would say a good 35% of the games don't work, most of the games on here are bootleg or games that nobody has ever heard of. There are so many better emulators out there on sites like temu and Alibaba for half the price that worked twice is good this was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on Amazon ... show more

  • A Nostalgic Powerhouse With Modern Convenience
I’ve tested several plug-and-play retro systems over the years, and the 2026 Upgraded HQM15B Retro Gaming Console is easily one of the most impressive I’ve used. It hits the perfect balance between classic gaming charm and modern performance. ✔ Massive Game Library With 20,000+ built-in games and 23 emulators, this thing is stacked. From old-school arcade titles to classic console favorites, the variety is almost overwhelming—in a good way. Everything is neatly organized by system, making it easy to browse and jump right into your childhood. ✔ 4K HDMI Output Looks Great I wasn’t expecting much from a retro system in terms of display, but the 4K HD HDMI output is surprisingly crisp. Obviously, the original pixel art remains low-res by nature, but the upscaling is clean and avoids the blurry look that plagues cheaper knockoff consoles. ✔ Plug & Play Simplicity Setup took under two minutes. Plug the stick into the TV, connect the power, turn on the controllers, and you’re ready to go. No software installs, no complicated menus—just play. ✔ Responsive Wireless Controllers The 2 included wireless controllers are comfortable and responsive, with no noticeable input lag from my couch. They’re not heavy premium controllers, but they feel solid and get the job done even in fast-paced games. ✔ Smooth Performance Across Systems I tried platformers, fighters, racing games, and even some higher-end retro systems. Everything ran smoothly with fast loading and stable emulation. The HQM15B handles its library well without freezing or crashing. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict The HQM15B 2026 Upgraded Retro Game Stick is an excellent value for anyone who loves classic gaming. Whether you’re revisiting your childhood favorites or introducing retro titles to younger family members, this console delivers endless entertainment with zero hassle. If you want a huge game library, smooth emulation, and simple plug-and-play fun—this is absolutely worth picking up. ... show more

  • Worth the price
There are a lot of side scrollers with crazy names, but there are a lot of originals and some hidden gems too. Medal of Honor for the PlayStation, Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Mr. Do a rare find! The Super Nintendo library is particularly good as is the Atari 2600 library. You can create a favorites list so you don’t have to go through all the games every time you want to play your favorite. You can do a search too but it’s only by system so that’s a bit of a pain. The instructions come with a QR code you can link to that will show you every game and allow you to search too. Old games look terrible on modern flat screens but the improved resolution on this makes them playable without getting a headache after 5 minutes. ... show more

  • Totally Disappointing Retro Game "System"
I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. He was highly disappointed. One can expect that the graphics would be lower quality since the games are from the 1980's-2000's. The quality of game play is completely unacceptable, however. Games were nearly unplayable. Pac-Man, Mr. Do!'s Castle, etc, were all atrocious. The +20,000 advertised games is completely misleading since they include thousands of foriegn games that are duplicates of the US ones. This is being returned. ... show more

  • Mediocre
This does not have 20k games nor 13 emulators. Not even close. Not all the emulators that are built-in work with the controllers. You will have to tinker with the mapping and possibly mess with the emulator settings on the SD via a PC. Some of the games do not have the proper video sizing for modern TVs. Controls are decent but lag time will make some games frustrating and unplayable. It's an interesting system but poorly executed. Will take someone with some PC skills and emulator knowledge to get this thing to work ok with the exception of the wireless controller lag. ... show more
