If you aren't too hung up on the appearance of the console (it doesn't look like a little Nintendo, a SNES or anything like that) then this retro game console is what you're looking for. Wireless controllers are great versus corded but I haven't had them long enough to find out how long the battery lasts (2 AAA). Along with HDMI support. I think this one is the best priced among its peers. It doesn't have 1000 copies of pinball but they did count Japanese, European and USA versions so you're probably only getting 2k-4k games. First off, the bad. I didn’t realize when I bought it, the unit will only display at 4k. First tv that I connected it to is a 1080p, and couldn’t display it. There is no option I have found yet to display at 1080p or something lower. There are lots of games available, but also appears that many are repeats (ie games next to each other may be listed as Japan, Chinese, USA, and/or Europe). Switching between the emulators can take some time. The instructions are not clear, but it’s pretty plug and play. Make sure there’s power available and plug the unit into an hdmi port. Now the good. The games display well, even though they were originally 8 bit or 16 bit games, now displaying in a 4k display. Some reviews I read before buying complained about the display, but I think people forgot how pixelated the older games used to be. Every game I’ve tried so far has played, and I haven’t noticed a delay in the controller response, even though there were a few reviews that complained about it. Every game that I’ve wanted to try playing has been there. Only had it for about 10 hours at this point, so I may find something missing later. System has 9 emulators. I couldn’t find good info before buying, but it looks like they have sections for arcade games, original Nintendo, Super Nintendo, PS1, Sega genesis, and some game boy versions (classic, advanced, and color, I think). ... show more
