The Danco Waterproof Silicone Sealant Grease is ideal for lubricating faucet stems, valves and cartridges when repairing a leaky faucet. Plumbers Faucet and Valve Grease helps reduce friction, provides long-lasting lubrication and helps hard-turning faucets work smoothly. It is NSF 61 approved and meets or exceeds the requirements of FDA regulation 21. Our Silicone Faucet Grease works well in temperatures between -40° to 400° F and can be formulated for many plumbing and household applications. This Silicone Faucet Grease is water resilient and oxidation resistant and can be used on ceramic stems. Perfect for Speed Queen washers. If you reuse the old drive bell, you should really grease up the seal that sits below it to prevent squeaking in agitation. The new drive bell kit comes with a small pouch of this stuff. Its a good product to keep on your service truck/van. As for the people leaving 1-star reviews, you have to remove the cap and trim the nozzle back about 1/8". It's not all that difficult and should be pretty self explanatory. ... show more

Not only is this important for greasing cartridges and O-rings, but for assembly so you can get the darn things apart again a few years later
