I bought this the first week of my surgery rotation to practice knots and ties. Honestly, I've tried four or five models of fake skin and none of them are close to the real thing, so this was about as good as it gets. It worked well for beginner things, but I will say that the instruments are very obviously practice instruments. Whether or not you are an aspiring surgeon, I think this set will work well for what you likely need it for. It worked great for me to practice all sorts of ties, knots, stitches, etc. However, nothing compares to the real thing, so take that as you will.

As a med student practicing sutures the quality was great and there was a variety of sutures which was a great help you get a feel for these different types. I even used them on a pigs foot to practice and the needle lasted for ever !! Do recommend if you want to practice.

I would give this 5 stars but the rubber tore too easily then what was stated but that’s just me it’s great though for getting practice and everything is there that’s listed and everything is sterile and great quality definitely recommend buying if you’re a med student trying to learn sutures or if you just want to learn in case of an emergency. Either way you’ll be satisfied with your purchase. This is definitely good for practice!
