It goes together tightly so if you are Patient you will have a nice working product. It will fit 2 small adult cats (7 lbs) side by side easily. The heating pad/control is great and probably only needs to be on the lower settings unless the winter gets harsh. There is a timer on the control too. Yes the screws are short but if you screw them in properly they are adequate and stable. I intended to use it on my covered front porch for an abandoned cat but one of mine confiscated it for herself during testing so now l need to buy another. ... show more

This wasn’t too hard to assemble. The zip on roof is a little awkward but took less than 5 minutes. We were adopted by a previously feral or abandoned cat. We have never had a cat before Cleo. She enjoys time inside our home but prefers to hangout in our backyard. Last winter she was an inside cat. We adopted a puppy in July and she doesn’t want to stay in the house even though she and the puppy tolerate each other. I have worried about how to keep her warm and out of the weather. I have purchased other shelters and tried to give her a bedroom in the house but she wanted nothing to do with other shelters and wants to eat inside and head back out. This shelter is awesome. She loves it. I think having two openings is key so she always has an escape route if needed even though that exposes her to a bit more of the cold. We placed an animal heating pad inside when it started getting below 40 outside with colder wind chills. We placed it up against a wall on our porch so it has a windbreak as it isn’t very heavy but with the heating pad I feel like it won’t blow away. I took the temperature inside the hut when the cat got off the heating pad and the pad reads about 80* so she seems to stay plenty warm. During the sunny days she prefers to layout in the sunshine but when it is overcast or cooler this is a life saver. It has given me peace of mind that she won’t suffer outside. And if we get too cold or snow, I plan on moving it all to my garage since she is very comfortable in it. Perfect solution for my picky cat. ... show more

The hard cardboard floor piece didn’t fit properly because they cut the corners of the canvas house too short so it was hard to fit that in, which is crucial in building this house as you need it level plus you have to screw it together with the outside bottom (I needed a couple of longer screws because of the poor sewing at the corners) I could not screw in the last screw tight enough so I had to get help with the last one from my dad. If they measured properly it would have been very easy to assemble! I used my battery screwdriver as I have arthritis, that worked well! Also, the fabric cover for the heating pad wasn’t long enough to properly fit inside of that so I put the opening towards the back of the house. When you are zipping it closed (the roof) it gets harder to zip around the corners, it said to add the plastic door flap last but it’s VERY DIFFICULT to attach that inside from the outside of the door!! I couldn’t get that to attach well and level so I left it off! Unfortunately when I had roof work done on my house the roofer set this big roll of tape on top of the kitty house roof so now the roof dents inward there so I have to figure out how to prop that back up, the kitties must not weigh as much as that tape as the kitties stand and sit in the roof without it caving in! But if they leap off of the roof the house can go flying down the steps! Now for the good aspects of this adorable little kitty house- it’s off of the ground, the heating pad is WONDERFUL as it has many heat levels plus you can choose a time limit or to have on 24 hours a day that’s really nice!! Kitties seem to love it! Some kitties like to try to “own it” by hogging it to themselves but others share it. I’ve seen as many as 3 medium sized full grown cats. I have other kitty condos my husband made for me years ago plus a heated bed but this cute, little house was a good addition to my front steps for kitties that don’t like to be with a lot of other kitties! I would buy this again but would return it if the parts didn’t fit again! Kitties love it and seem to stay warm in our very cold temperatures! ... show more

This little pet house looks just like the picture! It’s pretty sturdy and seems to be water resistant and very cute! However, I have a couple of feral kitties that I got this for and they have yet to use it. They are not comfortable with it yet but I put their treats inside and they will go inside to get them, hopefully they will start sleeping inside soon. I’ve only had the house for about a week so I will give it time. The only drawback is that the legs have to be screwed into the bottom and I had to ask for help with that part other than that I give this a big thumbs up 👍🏻 ... show more

I bought this and a petyella for housing a couple of community cats. This one already the door flap is already causing issues, not closing properly. This one has a heating pad with a timer not a plain heating pad with a separate timer. This means since I have it plugged into a timer that I must go outside and manually turn on the pad when the timer starts its cycle. Would rather have a plain heat pad like the petyella which then comes on when the timer turns on. This brand has a zippered roof and was easy to put together as the walls were already attached to the floor just unfold and zipper roof on. The Petyella was velcroed and I had to Velcro walls together and Velcro the roof. The Rest Eazzy had a gap in the roof zipper for the heating pad. Both the PetYella and Rest Easy, I ended up duct taping just because I wanted to keep any drafts away. Overall this product is ok but the side walls are not sturdy at all. The petyella has sturdier sidewalls and I noticed my outdoor cats prefer the petyella over the Rest eazzy. ... show more
