I bought my first beetles machine a couple of years ago and I loved it. Worked great. I just got this new machine, it BURNED my nails so bad. And I don’t know if its the polish or the machine but the polish doesn’t stay on as long. Quality has worsened unfortunately, which i hate because i really loved this line. The media could not be loaded. This kit is nice and affordable. It’s good for beginners and a good kit for wanting to do your own nails at home to save some money, but my lamp started flickering and I’ve only had it for about a month. You get what you paid for but good thing it is affordable. The extra tools are an added bonus, I like how neatly packaged everything came! I was really impressed with the quality of this kit for the money. I have gone back to gel after nearly ruining my nails at salons as they use electric files and burn up my nail beds, my last visit was the last straw as i feel they just dont take care and realize theres a human attachednto those finders and drilling a nail file into the nail bed burns and hurts you! Hello... They are thin and brittle right now and I came across a utube channel for a batural salon that recommended gel to protect the nail while your nails grow out 6-8 week and allow them to heal. I have a really bad nail biting habit and when they grow out they tendtoo break. I have had mixed feelings about gel in the past but I thought this polish went on evenly and cured well with the light. I also thought the color was true to the description and so far hasn't chipped. I work in physical therapy and wash my hands a million times a day and use oil based lotions so I will be testing out and update my review. Great color selection and the kit came with many higher quality tools. I also LOVED the buffer file that came with, was perfect on my natural nails that are very thin and fragile right now...will be ordering more colors if this polish lasts more than a week. The only thing this kit didn't include was a primer which in my experience is a must on natural nails to get your base to stick. I didn't use the base or top coats included so I can't speak to their quality I like to use the venalisa brand because it doesn't scratch like others I've used, but based on the quality of the color I'm open to trying the beetle brand that came in the kit. It feels a little thicker but will go on evenly, just do two coats and make sure your first coat is thinner. Base coats should also be thin so they completely dry before adding the next layer of polish. ... show more

I recently tried Beetles Gel Polish, and I was initially impressed by the beautiful range of colors and the ease of application. The colors were vibrant and the application process was straightforward, allowing me to achieve salon-quality nails at home. However, I was disappointed with the durability of the gel polish. Despite my careful application, I noticed chipping after just one day of wear on my fingers. This rapid wear and tear left me frustrated, as I had hoped for a longer-lasting manicure. To my dismay, I also experienced an allergic reaction when I applied the gel polish to my feet. This was a concerning discovery, as it indicated that there may be ingredients in the product that my skin is sensitive to. This allergic reaction limited my ability to enjoy the product fully and left me wary of using it in the future. In conclusion, while the colors and application process of Beetles Gel Polish are appealing, the quick chipping and the allergic reaction I experienced are significant drawbacks. 5 stars for the latex cuticle guard theory. One star for my left-handed painting abilities, zero stars for my patience. It takes time, patience and some precision to use it properly. Obviously if you get the latex on your nails the polish doesn't adhere to your nails in those spots. Personally, I lack the patience required for "at home nail polish art" and I must need to be held hostage in a salon to achieve great looking fingernails. I applied, removed, reapplied the latex multiple times because it seemed to take forever to dry - my fingers kept sticking to each other removing the latex when I tried painting it on my other hand. I'm not exaggerating- it took me over an hour just to paint latex on one hand, let it dry with my fingers outstretched 🖐 then carefully paint my other hand and letting it dry the same way. I mostly wanted the latex on my fingertips underneath my nails to keep the white tip "French manicure" polish from bleeding under my nails and cuticle edges. Three hours later I was using a cuticle stick, wrapped in tiny bits of cotton, dipped in nail polish remover to clean up my "at home manicure". Maybe it's easier to use if you're painting it on someone else's nails, so I'll invite my daughter over, take her car keys away and force her to sit still for a couple of hours (😉) ... show more
