This is going to sound like a fake review because I’m so hyped about this, but this is one of my best Amazon purchases of all time. If you like having your nails done / spend money on manicures at the salon on a regular basis (or even if you just want to start), this will seriously change your life. I have no reason to go to the salon anymore. I just can’t justify the expense now that I have this kit. For the price I had very low expectations, but I’m blown away by the quality and amount of stuff you get with this kit! It really works and it’s so easy!!! It’s SOOOO much faster than painting your nails the old way. As long as you can paint with your non-dominant hand (even if you can’t yet, it just takes practice), you can do a full gel manicure or pedicure in 10-15 minutes. It’s literally just file/buff, base coat, UV light, color, UV light, top coat, UV light - DONE. Or you can really take your time with it and get creative with tips, nail art, etc. The kit comes with really good quality nail files and tools too which alone are worth more than the price of the whole kit. And the colors are beautiful (just as pictured). Truly cannot recommend this enough. Also recommend buying a nail kit bag too (the ones that are made specifically to hold the UV light and tools and have little compartments for the polishes). Love love love!!! Ps: if you have any funky nails that bother you, you can buy clear press-ons on Amazon (fingers or toes!) and *good quality* nail glue, and paint the press on just like the other nails with the gel polish and UV light and it works great. My big toe press on has been going strong for 2 weeks!

I bought this kit due to the inexpensive price, and it far exceeded my expectations. The directions were easy to follow and quality, organized products were easy to use. The picture is my first try. I think it went really well. If you zoom in, you can see I need to do a little better job of cleaning the excess on my skin before using the Led light. After 2 days of the manicure, I see no signs of chips or peeling. I love the light, nuetral colors in thus kit. The coats and polishes are thicker and easy to apply without having drippage everywhere. I will buy a couple of bolder colors once I get more practice. I am very happy with this product and even happier to not spend hundreds at the salon.

This set has quality gel polish and is an incredible value! I easily spend $90 each time I’m at the nail salon (every 3-6 weeks) so I thought I’d try this as an occasional option between visits. While there is effort and time involved with DIY, following the guide in the kit yields great results! The UV light works well and the gel is quality. It rivals the salon quality so I’m pleased. A lot of bad reviews have clear errors in their process of application, so follow the instruction card to a T and you should have great results. The base coat is sticky as the instructions state, so don’t keep curing it thinking that layer will be hard and dry like a gel polish layer. I did dehydrator, primer, base, two coats of color and then the top coat. Easy peezy, it just takes time and patience. Tip: In addition to this kit, I also got the nail dehydrator and primer set. I do think this is key for a better lasting mani. Pictured: the light lilac is closer to white.

The kit itself it wonderful, you get a nice lamp with variable timings plus an auto light feature when something is put under the light, your chosen colors (I chose the greys and nudes, they all look beautiful and apply like butter), and some nail care tools; clippers, block and card files, cuticle trimmers, and some other stuff. The base coat is a commitment, if you don't plan on wearing the polish for a few weeks don't use it as it bonds with the natural nail, causing tears if you try to remove. The base coat and colors all cured at their respective 90 seconds (I do 120 for all just to be safe), the top coats however, cure practically instantly and start burning. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what but they start burning your fingers if you just put them under the lamp. I had to apply, flash cure under the lamp for no more than 2 seconds to avoid burning, then cure a solid 8-10 inches from the lamp for about 20 seconds, and then put them under the lamp normally. I'm assuming it's just an old batch I have that made it cure instantly but just be warned. Other than that I will definitely be getting more colors from this brand and also searching to see if they have a hard gel system.

DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY. I have been doing my own gel nails at home for over 10 years with zero issues. I bought this kit after reading the glowing reviews and seeing beautiful photos, and at first it seemed great. It had a shiny finish, full coverage in one coat, and it lasted over a week. Then things changed. The polish started burning during application, and it stopped curing properly. About two months later, I woke up in the middle of the night with severe, throbbing pain in my thumb. I removed the polish and discovered my nail was badly bruised with pus underneath. I had to go to urgent care and was prescribed oral antibiotics and a topical cream for an infection. A week or so later, the exact same thing happened to my pointer finger. I woke up in intense pain and found another bruised nail. That’s when it finally clicked that this had to be the gel polish. I went back and carefully read the 1-star reviews, and the photos of bruised nails looked identical to mine. I also noticed multiple people reporting severe itching and rashes on their neck and skin, which is extremely concerning. This product has now been refunded and reported to Amazon. I have never experienced anything like this in a decade of doing gel nails at home. Please save yourself the pain, risk of infection, and medical bills. Do not buy this product.
