This comes packaged so nicely, I just cut off a chunk and throw it in water to get it going. It works great in the gecko tank for moisture help. The clean up crew like to hide underneath this and some cork bark. This holds moisture great. I will be putting some in my flower pots also.

I ordered this moss for repotting purposes and got disappointed with the quality. The actual product was not as good as the product images. Not even close. After letting the moss expand, I rinsed it multiple times (the 4th picture shows how dirty the water was after the 4th rinsing) but to no avail. My plan is to mix it with peat moss and perlite so I decided to keep it, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Had I ordered it for any live animals, it would've been 1 star, because I definitely wouldn't want to use it for them. ... show more

Moss looked good, clean smelling. It comes compressed so its really nice to store. Makes 4.5 liters in total once expanded by soaking in warm water. I was able to use scissors to cut through the brick to only use half. Priced similarly to that of the big box pet stores.
