This is a pretty good kit that comes with everything you’d need to make simple straps, and while the quality of the cord and all the supplies is fantastic, I have some issues with the size of the staples. This kit with 25 staples, enough to make at least 12 individual straps, or 6 pairs (assuming two staples per cord), yet they only provide two nylon pull tabs. They provide enough staples and marine-grade heat-shrink to make many straps, so why would they only give us two pull tabs? You’d think they’d provide more, especially for the longer 106” kit, considering people who buy this longer kit might do so because they plan on making several straps. As far as complaints go, that’s a relatively small one. This kit comes with everything you need to make effective straps that the absence of pull tabs (which aren’t strictly necessary) seems minor by comparison. A much bigger complaint relates to the staples themselves. I made a test loop just to see how easy it is to follow the provided instructions (which are available in the post photos - this doesn’t come with paper instructions), and you can see the results in my photos. The first thing I noticed is that the staples are far too large for this diameter cord. Because of their shape, they collapse into the cords when pressed with pliers, driving the sharp ends into the elastic and creating an obvious failure point. I tried to bend the curved ends of the staple away from the cords with the first staple I pressed, and the results were… disastrous. The second staple looks much better, but that’s because I didn’t try to prevent the staple from puncturing the cord. I just pressed it like the instructions tell us to. I know the heat-shrink will cover this, but having been punctured by the staple can’t be good. I don’t know how serious this will prove to be, but I’m confident it will be a failure point in the future eventually. Overall this is a nice kit, and the fact that the heat-shrink tubing is marine-grade (which has a layer of glue inside to create a water-tight connection) is a nice touch, but the size of the staples and the lack of additional pull-tabs are two things that should be addressed. The staple size could potentially become a major problem, so you might want to consider getting your own smaller staples to clamp the cord. I still recommend this kit though. It’s a great value, considering everything that comes with it, and it’s pretty easy to do all this yourself as long as you have access to pliers and a lighter or heat gun.

This replacement wakeboard tower rack bungee cord strap works perfectly! The elastic rope is strong and durable, with just the right amount of stretch to hold my wakeboard and wakesurf board securely in place. The pull tab makes it really easy to use, even with wet hands. I also like that it fits multiple types of boards — wakeboard, surfboard, kneeboard, and even skis — so it’s super versatile. Great replacement part that feels sturdy and well-made. Definitely recommend it for anyone needing new bungee straps for their tower rack!

Worked well to rejuvenate my worn out wakeboard tower bungees. Fairly easy to install too. Not quite as thick or strong as my original bungees so I had to make them a little tighter to hold the wakeboards securely.

This bungee cord pack is exactly what I needed. I am not using this on a wake board as described. I wanted this to replace the bungee cord on my kayaks. The cord comes in two long peaces. It also comes with some wire staples that you can use to make a loop and fasten the two peaces of cord together. Then it also has heat shrink tubing that you can can cut and slide over the stapled area. Then heat with a heat gun or lighter and it will shrink tightly over the joint for a professional look. The bungee cord was almost1/4” thick which was very nice.

Overall the bungee seems to be working great without issues but it was smaller diameter than I was expecting. It’s about half the diameter of the existing bungee on my board rack. We’ll see how it holds up.

For the price, this is a real value. Lots of high quality bungee material, excess amount of staples to crimp the bungee strap, and more than enough heat shrink to seal the connections where you loop the bungee cord back on itself. I have zero complaints about this item. Very happy with it.
