Highly recommend! I accidentally washed my TV remote with my bedding because it was hiding in the sheets and did not survive. Even worse, my TV apparently has zero buttons on it, so I suddenly had no way to watch anything. Thankfully I used Amazon’s image search and found this remote, which looked exactly like the one that originally came with my TV. First, I am disappointed that all Fire series TV's need a replacement remote. Just make quality remotes. I had to buy a replacement remote because mine stopped consistently allowing me to go from channel to channel. At first, I thought it was dead batteries but after throwing away many batteries to soon after I replaced one, I figured out it must be the TV remote. I purchased this FireTV remote, and out of the box, it connected with the TV without having to pair it. The remote doesn't come with AAA batteries, so have one available. I ordered this replacement remote in the morning time and the Ad said same day delivery. It was delivered the same day, which was a plus. I tried using this remote with my HD FireTV Stick, just to cut down on remotes, but I couldn't get it to work. It may be my error, but it didn't work. I tried pairing the remote to see if the Voice Control feature works, but for some reason, it would not work. I am so glad to have a working remote, I don't care about the voice feature, which, I forget to use anyway. So, for me, programmability was not easy and does not work for me. Now that I once again have a working FireTV remote, I wonder if I should purchase another remote just incase this one stops working?

Works Great!!!! Ready to use out of the box. Easy set up. Don't know why my original remote was burning out new batteries daily. This remote is great. A month of heavy used and the batteries are still at 90%. Good price, highly recommend.

Purchased as a replacement remote. I was able to pair the remote with my firestick in just a few minutes by following the directions. The buttons have a nice responsive feel. The programmed Netflix button worked fine so I would imagine the other buttons are compatible as well. It does feel a little cheaply made but it works great. Right after pairing the show that was on paused a few times but I’m not totally sure it was the remotes doing. All in all it worked as it should and is a great cheap replacement.

This replacement remote synced to my Fire Stick in seconds — no fuss, no weird setup. All the buttons respond quickly, the voice control works smoothly, and it feels identical to the original Fire remote. The build quality is solid, not flimsy, and it’s been reliable with zero lag or random disconnects. Replaced my original Fire TV remote that bit the dust after only 4.5 years. Setup & pairing was fairly simple but it would not turn my TV on/off, or allow volume changes or muting. After about 36 hours it somehow fixed itself & now those functions work correctly. My major complaints are the original remote had the up/down volume buttons on a vertical button, centered on the remote & not near any other buttons so it was very easy to find by feel only. This one has them jammed in over on the left side, closely surrounded by other buttons so it's difficult to find them only by feel, especially in the dark which is where this remote is used, in our bedroom at night. The original also had the mute button all alone at the very bottom, now it's buried in among other buttons so also hard to find by feel or in the dark. As usual these days, the new & improved version is neither...
