Description

2x High Strength Replacement Arm Bolts Compatible with Herman Miller Aeron (tightening knob wheel, not the lever version of the chair) Simple install with plyers, wrench, or socket set. Original hex screws have low tensile strength, resulting in them snapping at the weak point near the head. The weak point is where the connector head attaches to the shaft, as we can see in the pictures it is only about 1mm of contact. Bolts retain 100% of function in the chair arm movement lock, and tightening, they fit and work perfectly. This kit comes with 2 bolts; you may as well replace both the failed bolt and replace the other side's OEM while you have the back off the chair. New bolts are rated for 100,000+ PSI and are total overkill for the arm attachment - These same bolts are used in car and truck suspension! No questions asked lifetime warranty. Fix it once, fix it right. Only way these replacement bolts could fail is if you ran over the chair with a truck or if you threw the chair off the roof of your office building. If you do, please take a video and share in your review!

  • Worked perfectly!
When the arm fell of my HM Aeron chair I figured I was going to spend $1,200 to replace the chair or at least a couple hundred bucks to have it repaired. But I was wrong. For less than $11 I was able to repair the chair myself. The instructions were fantastic and the whole process took about 10 minutes. Thank you! Brilliant product! ... show more

  • This product is a game-changer!
The weak OEM bolts wreaked havoc in my office, with 3 Herman Miller Aeron chairs going down and inoperable in my store room. I figured I was waiting until a 4th went down to fill up my truck bring these into a dealer for repair, but thankfully I came across this product and it truly saved the day! As soon as I saw the product photo, I knew it was exactly what I needed. The bolts holding my chair's arms all snapped just like in the picture, but with the help of this product, I was able to easily remove the broken bolts by just twisting them with my fingers (one of them I needed pliers to back out as it was in there tight) and replaced them with these heavy duty bolts. There are easy to follow detailed step by step instructions included on a little QR code (genius thinking) and for once written with competency with clear illustrated pictures – the repair was smooth sailing. Like the seller said absolute overkill strength wise. Once I installed them, I had 2 of my 200+ lb janitors SIT ON BOTH ARMS AT THE SAME TIME to test them out and my golly they are strong. This guy is right the only way these could break is if I run them over with my truck LOL! The package comes with two replacement bolts which is good thinking as the other sides are doomed to eventually break as well. After installation, the arms feel incredibly sturdy and solid. They do help the arms lock tighter too which is a nice features as they don’t sag and fall down anymore. This product is a game-changer, shipped incredibly fast, and I cannot recommend them enough! ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed - worked like a charm
This is a specific product to address a specific problem - namely, the weak OEM bolt used in the arm rest for the Herman Miller Aeron. Just as shown in the product photo, the bolt holding my chair's arm snapped near the head, sending the arm crashing to the floor. To remove the broken shaft, I had to use a set of vice grips to grab it and slowly turn it counter-clockwise while holding the tightening wheel in place. The package comes with two replacement bolts and a slip of paper with a printed QR code. The code is a bit small, so it took my phone a while to read it. It did work eventually, lucky for me. The link leads to a detailed set of instructions for replacing the OEM bolt. I recommend using a socket wrench to install the new bolt (I think it was 7/16"). Once I got it installed, the arm feel very sturdy. Time will tell if it will last, but it seems solid so far. ... show more

  • Aeron chair parts are hard to find but these worked
I have repaired Aeron chairs before - the manufacturer makes it hard to get parts but persistence pays off. In this case the bolt snapped off in such a way I could not remove it so I was attempting to replace the entire arm but they are not available anywhere. I ended up having to buy a new tool ($6) to get the broken bolt out then these worked perfectly to repair the arm. Just have to be smarter than the item you're repairing & find a way to outfox the fox. ... show more

  • I have my arm rest back!
Just working at home when I leaned onto the arm rest of my aeron chair and it just fell to the floor, apparently a thing with these bolts failing at the head, broken like I have seen many online. Ordered these bolts and took about 10mins to replace both sides. Finally I have my arm rest back!

  • Bolt snapped during install...
So much for, "New bolts are rated for 100,000+ PSI and are total overkill for the arm attachment - These same bolts are used in car and truck suspension!"... The bolt snapped while tightening. It couldnt even handle the force of a man tightening it with a socket wrench. ---- Updating this from 1 star to 2 star. The seller reached out to me and seems to be a genuine person who is looking to ensure this doesn't happen again. While still a negative experience for me, I wanted to give some credit for them reaching out, apologizing, and trying to do their best to prevent anyone else from having the same experience. ... show more
