I’m usually a no deet big spray kind of person but when you really need to make sure fleas and ticks aren’t latching on to you, this is my go to bug spray. I usually only spray it on my clothes, not my skin. It has no real noticeable smell, and is a little greasy (I assume that’s the layer that keeps the bugs from biting through?? Not sure). I was in a bad flea infested area for a while but as soon as I used this spray, not a single flea in sight of me! It really is a life saver, and a home saver at that! I think you would be crazy not to use deet. In the Northeast we happen to have an outbreak of ticks this works every time like a charm. Also keeps mosquitoes away!

I am assuming this mosquito-repellent works well enough. And it arrived overnight which was great. I only took off one star because it's a very oily liquid & it stains my clothing. I never bought this brand before. I hoped it would be more like Cutter or Off, which are not oily & don't stain my clothes. But if you need to go outdoors and you are wearing shorts you could probably cover your legs with this stuff. Unfortunately then your legs would be very oily or greasy. I like the other brands better because they can be sprayed over sunblock, plus they are not as oily as this is. I am sure everyone's preferences are different. If you do not mind greasy or oily, then you might enjoy this product as a bug repellent. Anything is better than bug bites! ;) ... show more

Works fantastic. Very little odor (unlike many strong smelling products). A bit oily initially - but that actually helps rubbing it around on the skin - it dries relatively quick. Bottom line for any product with its purpose is… it works! Period!

This stuff is fantastic. I'm one of those people that mosquitoes are attracted to. If I'm outdoors, I get bit, and I have an allergic reaction and swell up at the bite area like crazy and get some itchy I want to scratch my skin off. Not only is this the highest level of Deet you can find, the spray pump is SOOO much better than the alternatives. Easy to use, no aerosol fumes that you inevitably breathe in, and no heavy smell like others. Yes it has an odor but I find it pretty light in comparison. I used this to repel mosquitoes during my morning run. It helped, but didn’t completely solve the problem. Normally, I’d be swarmed by mosquitoes as soon as the sun rises—this time I wasn’t, but I still got bitten by 2 or 3. Normally, it would be 6 or 7. The product is oily, which is actually a good thing—it doesn't wash away easily with sweat. It also doesn’t have a strong odor, which I appreciated. The issue is that it gave me what I’d describe as a mild allergic reaction. About two hours after applying it, my arms started to burn slightly and turned red by the end of my run. It improved after I showered. I’m not someone prone to allergic reactions—in fact, I can’t recall ever having one in my 40+ years—so this was unexpected. Unfortunately, I can’t keep using it and wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll be returning it and going back to using Off (which isn’t perfect either, but at least it doesn’t cause a reaction). ... show more

At last a product that works! My son gets eaten alive by mosquitoes. I put this on him when he went fishing and he was not bit once! The spray is a bit oily but I will take being a little oily over mosquitoe bites any day!
