This review is hard because it works well against bugs; however, the smell was not very good. I have very sensitive skin and this was recommended to me. I was so happy that it came in so quickly before our trip in nature. The product worked all night after one spray all over and no reapplying; however, the smell of this product made me feel sick because it was not a pleasant smell and it was very over powering when spraying. Living in the buggy South, insect repellent is a daily necessity for several months a year. I’m always looking for a repellent that doesn’t make me stink like most do, but works effectively. This repellent goes on evenly and dries quickly without that sticky feeling or any terrible smell. It feels gentle on my delicate skin, and I didn’t have any worries spraying it on the little kids. I sprayed it on 12 of us one muggy, buggy afternoon and not one of us received a single bite! That’s impressive! I sprayed it on my face and when I was all sweaty it didn’t taste great on my lips, but I didn’t experience any eye stinging from forehead sweat. This stuff is fantastic. I'm one of those people that mosquitoes are attracted to. If I'm outdoors, I get bit, and I have an allergic reaction and swell up at the bite area like crazy and get some itchy I want to scratch my skin off. Not only is this the highest level of Deet you can find, the spray pump is SOOO much better than the alternatives. Easy to use, no aerosol fumes that you inevitably breathe in, and no heavy smell like others. Yes it has an odor but I find it pretty light in comparison. As a lifelong Floridian, I’ve accepted that I basically live inside a mosquito buffet. Hot, humid, muggy summers? Check. Swampy air that feels like soup? Double check. So when I say I’ve tried everything to keep the 90+ species of flying vampires off me, I mean it—I’ve practically bathed in citronella at this point. Enter this magical little bottle of mosquito-repelling hope. I spritzed it on before heading out to water the garden, expecting the usual outcome: mild protection, strong odor, and sticky skin. But to my surprise—no greasy film. No weird chemical cloud. Instead, it left a soft, almost floral-powder scent. It says no fragrance, but my nose says, “Hey, this smells like grandma’s perfume—but in a good, gentle way.” And it faded quickly, which I appreciated. No bug spray stank lingering while I’m trying to live my main-character gardening life. The mosquitoes backed off. Like, noticeably. For the first 30–45 minutes, I felt like I had my own invisible security detail. I was doing chores. I was walking around. I was thriving. But then... I went inside to cool off, came back out, and bam—mosquito rave on my legs. No water, no sweat—just a short indoor break and it was like I had never sprayed anything at all. So while it says 8 hours, I’d say more like a solid 45 minutes to an hour before it clocks out for lunch. Also? The bottle says 5 oz, but I barely got 10–15 uses before it tapped out. For the price, I expected a little more longevity. My usual go-to (Cutter) lasts me double that amount with over half still left. Final thoughts: 🌟 5 stars for effectiveness during active use 💧 No greasy feel (praise be) 🌸 Light scent that doesn’t overstay its welcome ⌛ Docked stars for shorter-than-promised duration and quick empty bottle Final Verdict: If you’re in Florida and just want something that actually works without turning you into a walking oil slick, this is a solid pick.
