  • I’m very happy with these panels so far
Size: 2Pcs
I have two Bluetti AC180s, each hooked up to a major appliance. I got these two panels to feed separately into the solar generators; each Bluetti can take an input of up to 500 watts of solar. I installed them horizontally, side by side, abutting each other, but ran separate solar cabling (so no questions about whether to hook them up in series or parallel, which I get confused by). Feeding into the Bluetti DC solar input port, they get plenty of juice on sunny days and even on cloudy ones do pull in a good bit of power. When the panels first came, they looked scuffed in places, but whatever it was washed off. There were no cracks or breaks in anything, and they mounted quite easily onto triangular solar ground mounts. I also have two small battery banks with separate charge controllers and inverters (hooked up to separate solar arrays) that I plug into the AC grid inputs of the AC180s, and I’ve got them set on a schedule to turn off at sunrise and on at sunset. Even in the winter and on somewhat cloudy days, I wind up with enough juice from the sun to run a large upright freezer and a large refrigerator/freezer around the clock, just on the sun. That’s what I wanted, because we lost about $600 worth of food (plus all my processing time) during a power outage this past year, and I don’t want that to happen again. I also have a pair of JJIN 200 watt bifacial panels and four Eco-Worthy 195 watt bifacial panels. I think I like the performance of these the best. ... show more

  • These don’t produce much power
Size: 2Pcs
These panels came smashed and do work but are so big and don’t move too easy Knowing this I do not recommend these as they get broken in the delivery. Not much to say but that the most I get out of 900 watts is 150 watts VERY Disappointed Thumbs down

  • >450w output on the 450w panels
Size: 2Pcs
450w panels are pretty good so far. Have been testing with the Anker Solix F2000 and running loads on it throughout the day. These Renogy panels have output as much as 490w individually when light is reflected on the back side (at least temporarily). I can see 400+ watts on a regular basis. No complaints. I'll probably be buying more for my shed project. ... show more

  • Nice Solar Panels, but big and heavy out of four, one was shattered
Size: 2Pcs
Ordered two set of Renogy 450w bifacial panels during black Friday sale. Amazon had to special delivery. When received both both showed some signs of shipping. One set was perfectly fine, the other set had a shattered panel and a scuffed panel. Contacted Amazon and after a little back and forth with them try to figure out how to handle the replacement, Amazon Customer Service decide to refund me for one set, told me to keep the panels and discard the shattered one. The price of a pair of panels is now around $300 more. The panel are well packaged. I know they are large and heavy, but extra effort should be made to take extra care in handling...... Amazon Customer Service, did a great job resolving the problem, but would have preferred having 4 good panels. I have only been able to run some quick tests on them and they all show great output. Will install the three good ones for now and decide whether to get more later. ... show more

  • Terrible customer service - Great products
Size: 2Pcs
The poor rating is specifically regarding Renogy's customer service. We are overall happy with their products. We have 7 panels and all but 1 have been working flawlessly and perform as advertised. The construction is solid and they keep the entire boat running on solar 100%. Our issue is one panel suddenly started producing less voltage a few months after installation. Instead of the typical 38 volts being produced by the other identical panels, it would only create 25v. We tried all ways to troubleshoot and verify the over panel was the issue. Based on panel size and specs, my best guess without digging the potting material out of the junction box is a bad bypass diode. We provided all the data and how/when/how the measurements were made to Renogy and asked for additional help. The response from their level 1 tech support was to follow their online troubleshooting video and to video tape myself making the measurements. First, I would only be providing the same measurements but with a video that I actually did it and did not fake the data. Second, they were asking me to use a typical multimeter to measure a short circuit current which for this panel could be as high as 13-14A. The majority of meters on the market and owned by most will only measure up to 10ADC. I followed up with them telling them I already provided the voltage data and I could rig up a shunt or find another higher range meter to attempt a short circuit current (despite showing them the data of what it was during full sun and heavy load charging batteries). They responded that level 2 tech support agreed with me and were ok with a cell phone picture of voltage on my meter. Despite it being the exact same voltage I originally gave them, I again measured the open circuit voltage at 25VDC and submitted the pictures. Level 2 tech support agreed the panel was defective and said they would replace it. This was beginning of July. Level 1 tech support asked us to ship back the bad panel and they would send us a new one. I was told they would send a replacement first and then I could ship back to other panel. They asked for a convenient day 5 days from them to receive new panel and ship back bad panel. I gave them a date and booked a slip at a marina. The panel never shipped. It is now nearing the end of July and they are unable to tell me when a replacement panel is shipping. They won't tell me if there is an issue, if they have no more panels, etc. I have contacted them at least 6 times since then and all I receive back is "we told logistics to send you two new panels. I have asked them to provide contact info so I can call and speak to someone..I have given them my phone number and asked them to call me. We have been sitting in Palm Beach area for almost a month now waiting for a replacement panel. We should be at our destination in the Bahamas by now, but are stuck waiting. We explained multiple times we are travelling and can't sit at a marina at $150 a day waiting and hoping it will ship. I've sent emails to various departments I can find at Renogy with no response. We are considering just moving on and accepting that we have a defective panel (as recognized by Renogy) and just deal with low output from that panel. At some point, I will dig into the junction box and remove the weatherproof potting material and figure out which diode to replace (<$5). My panel will no longer be in warranty, but then again what good is the warranty if I can't get the defective panel replaced as promised. If you want a decent panel for a good price, Renogy is it. I've purchased 8 panels and a charger from them and only 1 bad 😔 one has surfaced. If you want good responsive customer service, look elsewhere. I expect sketchy service from overseas companies, but not one that is US based in California. ... show more
