Only complaint is that the sockets are not labeled them selves only the slot in which they sit in the container is labeled. So once they’re out of the container, there’s no way to identify their size.

I probably have a half dozen hex bit socket sets, but these are my first extra long socket bits and this set is easy to recommend! The look and feel is very good. I can tell a cheap tool by the look, cast, finish, feel in my hand, and weight for the most part. These bits are well finished, clearly stamped, and they are heavy and dense. The socket is well designed, but the size marking could be a bit larger for my taste. Try as I might they did not flex or twist when I torqued the 8 mm in my bench vise with a breaker bar. A cheaper tool would have definitely snapped or possibly rounded with the amount of pressure I applied. Impressive for an extension bit. I definitely appreciate the better case. Having actual latches instead of a flimsy piece of plastic (that always breaks off) was a helpful and appreciated. All in all, I like this set. Was is an exceptional value? No, I think it was priced about right for what it is and in the end you get what you pay for and this set is worth the price. Is it going in my tool box and chasing out one of my worn out allen wrench set? Absolutely! ... show more

    • Nice kit but failed under torque
I used these to reach into a deep set allen bolt. The 1/4" hex snapped at 50 lbs. I was able to cut off the break area and still use the key but not the best quality tools.

I've used these several times now, and they have held up well to normal mechanic use. It's nice that all of them are the same 3/8 drive, so you don't have to guess if a smaller one drops to 1/4 or something. They are all the same. The carry case does a decent job of keeping them organized. Sometimes they come loose inside, but for the most part, it does it's job. I have not yet had an instance where I had a really stuck bolt, so I don't know what the ultimate breaking point of these is. At one point I chucked one up in a vice to see if I could break it, and I couldn't. I realize that isn't a scientific test, but they at least seem pretty durable. Not case-hardened-peanut-butter like some cheap tools. These seem pretty sturdy. ... show more

    • Something I don't need often, but when I do, it's there
This allows more torque to be applied without slipping and stripping to occur. The reach is great, but can be too long in many cases. These are best used only when needed for their reach. Nice set in a decent case.
