I've always wanted to play the piano! These little "cheat letters" are a great help until you've learned the notes and where everything is located. I would reccomend them. Plus they aren't sticky so they don't make a mess on your keyboard.

They are flexible silicone and fit properly across the whole keyboard. The alignment is decent--if you are a perfectionist you may not like that some skew a bit diagonal and don't sit exactly center on every key. My only objection is the choice of the bright yellow for "E". Against the white background E is hard to see in ordinary warm white lighting.     • A clever accessory for the piano student.
I have to admit, this is a pretty ingenious little accessory. I am brand new to piano and have never been able to read music proficiently. I’ve tried to avoid using things like this as a crutch, but I really think in the beginning this will be a great training aid. Originally, I was going do this on the cheap and get some blank adhesive labels and write in the notes and stick them all over. Not only was that going to take forever and look totally stupid, but when it comes time to remove them, well, that wasn’t a project I was looking forward to. This is much better. If you have a smaller keyboard than a full 88 keys, you can cut these as needed but if you have a full piano keyboard, you’re covered. I don’t know much about piano construction or how consistent it is across brands and types, so I can’t say if this will fit your particular application. However for my keyboard, it fit perfectly. It looks great, is unobtrusive when I play, and when I feel brave, I can lift it off and go commando. Then when I realize I have no idea what I am doing, I can simply put it back on. It does not impact playing or have any adverse effects on key response. Then again, I don’t know if I am the best judge of that based on how inexperienced I am. I like the color scheme versus the black and white versions also available. For me, it helps me identify and differentiate the notes better.     • Not easy to use
They slide back under the keyboard cover too easily and have to be pried out. Notes are also Very Small and hard to see. Concept is great but not worth purchasing for the reasons I mentioned.

    • Great for young and old learners alike
I had gotten one of these for our grandchildren, who are learning to read music and play piano and it's been a great help to them and their dad. Since the grandchildren play piano at our house as well, I decided to get a set for our piano. It's super easy to set up; really, no instructions needed, as long as you put the three sections in the right order across the keys. And it seems plenty durable. You're not likely to be removing it very often, occasionally to dust the keys. It's very easy to read, even though the notes on the lines are pretty small. My husband plays by ear but has never learned to read music, so this has helped him find find the notes when he plays from sheet music. So, you really CAN teach an old guy new tricks. Wow!! I LOVE this!! Can't tell you how many times my little girl would get stuck practicing the piano because she was having trouble finding a note on the keyboard...and of course she would ask me....dad....if I could help her...hahaha. Are you kidding me??? I had NO CLUE! So there we were at a total loss waiting for the wife to come home and set us both strait. This was extremely frustrating for me AND my daughter. My daughter just wanted to get back to her day and be done with practicing the piano, and I had no idea how to help her; and by the time the wife came home it was time for my daughter to get to bed. This keyboard label has been such a lifesaver!!!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!! I never seen my daughter smile so big! Finally something to help assist her. I love that the notes have been color coded to teach her the musical pattern of the notes, AND that it actually shows you what the note looks like on the scale! I also like that this can easily be removed if needed... It does not use adhesive; and the labels themselves are VERY robust and made of a thick looking silicone that's about 1/8 inch thick. The installation was unbelievably easy...your kid could do it for you. They do not impair the function of the piano keys at all. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend this to anyone! ... show more
