I actually got this to entertain my dog (he loves chasing it). I've only used it indoors so it's not been put to any great test. The rechargeable battery in the car doesn't seem to last real long but it comes with extra so there is that but then you still would have to change it out. It uses regular batteries for the hand held remote and I have not had to replace those yet. Is kind of loud. I found it a little hard to steer but this my first RC so maybe with a little practice I can get it to go where I want better. Love how it will flip over if it runs into the wall. And the lights flash different colors. So it's fun. For the price I'd say it's a good deal. Seems pretty sturdy. The battery compartment on the car uses a screw so it doesn't pop off but as I don't get wild with it I left the screw out and it didn't pop open - but I'm not crashing it into stuff on purpose. I have no idea what age would enjoy this most as an RC car, probably 7-11. But it certainly makes a great interactive toy for my dog who finds regular dog toys VERY boring. He chases this around, and barks at it and just has a wonderful time. Big time tail wags ;)

We've purchased a few flip remote control cars over the years and this one has been an absolute blast! The LED lights have been a bonus as most we've purchased haven't had this feature. It's been especially when driving in low-light conditions. The 4WD feature means excellent traction on various terrains, and we've enjoyed it on all kinds of surfaces in our house and outside. Its design is very durable and it has very responsive controls. Plus, the remote control has been very easy to use. Battery life is great and we aren't constantly having to charge it after only a short use. Overall I would absolutely recommend purchasing for yourself or giving as a gift for any child, teen (or adult) who loves remote control vehicles. It's durable, fun, and we've loved it. Highly recommended!

It was a birthday gift for my son, as soon it was delivered I wrapped and hid it without inspecting it because I didn't think I had to. When I opened the package on July 30th, when my son tried to drive it for the first time the cover over the batteries kept falling off and then a little after it just stopped moving and the lights were blinking on and off. I reached out to Amazon they said they could not offer a refund and I would have to return it, I don't live in America and it would cost me more than what I paid for it. I was able to provide photos and videos of the defect and was told someone would email me for further assistance. I have yet to receive this email, it is not my first time buying an RC car for my son and I have never had this issue. From now on I will only buy items directly from Amazon and not third-party sellers.

I bought 2 before this one. Bought it for my grand nephews. I got my 28 yr old nephew to try it out to see if it worked. (Didn't want to give to lil nephews for Christmas, and not work). While he was playing with it , my dog chased it around, and barked at it. Funny, so I decided to buy one for me and my little dog. He loves it. It lights up, races very fast, it pops wheelies, when it runs into a wall or object, it climbs it to turn itself around. One button controls forward and backward, the other one makes it spin around to go in another direction. Dog loves it when spinning around, and tries to run over his feet. Also, has a automatic switch it drives itself around. It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, usb cable, 2 AA batteries for remote. I keep one set of batteries charged up, so when it dies I change them out. Also, it comes with a lil screwdriver so you can change batteries out. Everyone will have a Blast with it, doesn't matter how old you are. The batteries for the car last about 30 minutes. Best gift ever.
