We got this as a gift for our cousin's son. They are really in to cars so thought he would enjoy it. Overall pretty fun toy. The controls were a little difficult to get used to but once you get the hang of it then it seems to work pretty well. Battery life so far is pretty good and seems decently fast to recharge. This RC car is interesting and fun, but takes some time getting used to the controls. Especially when it flips since the controls get reversed so it's hard to tell which way it actually moves. The response on the sticks is not great either as it seems that you can either go fast or go slow, but variations in between are somewhat lacking. Dealing with an impatient child, this car recharges fast. The more tricks you attempt the quicker he charges out, especially if you were using the headlights. What seem to work fast is a recharge pretty quickly to keep them entertained. It took a moment for them to master the handheld controller but once they did, it was fun times from there. ... show more

My 5-year-old son LOVES this remote-control car. It rotates on all sides, including sideways, and as my son puts it, it looks like a spaceship. It really is a great, entertaining monster truck, it climbs over obstacles, and it functions on its own sometimes without having a command from the remote control. There are lots of lights on the car and on the wheels and is a good size car that can be taken to the park or backyard easily. There is no assembly required and the package was super easy to open. My 8-year old daughter loves this car. It has quite a bit of speed and can flip around/over and adjust its wheels if it runs into anything. The instructions don't say that there are other parts of the remote that can be used--like the lights and the 'wild' mode where it just does whatever it wants to do. It comes with two chargeable batteries so one can be charging at the same time she is playing with it. I do wish that it didn't have such a small screw for the battery cover--I can imagine dropping it and never finding it again. Other than that, great toy! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My 4 year old and 10 year old loves this thing. It's easy enough to control and very forgiving with running into things.
