Have a draw on my f150 that kills my battery over night. After determining I would have to pull my entire dash to fix the issue I opted give this a try. 5 minute install and works as advertised. Only down side is it may trip the cel if you don't allow your vehicle to fully power down and ecm to store the data before "turning off" The battery. Would be a great vehicle theft deterant as well.

I don't understand how to install it. There are spots for the negative cables and it said to install on the negative side yet also has a positive wire coming from it. Then it said to mount elsewhere on the car. The book that came with it only shows a wiring diagram and I can't read them.

Would give five Stars but one remote isn't paired and I can't find instructions anywhere on how to pair it so I'm down to one remote....side note I used it for a remote starter solenoid kill switch instead of the battery so my Mopar is more difficult to steal. Also the ECU will retain its data...

What a great product, but it didn't work out for me. What I wanted was a remote battery cut off switch with a manual override in the event I didn't have the key fob. I stash a key under my frame for when I'm locked out. I needed the manual override for that instance and few products offer this option. I loved this product, and all was well, the only complication was I had side posts on my battery. No problemo, I flattened a 1/2" copper pipe, cleaned it with my wire wheel, and intstalled as per the instructions. I placed a side post to top post converter on my negative terminal, installed the clamp on the side post, ran my copper bar from the other port of the device to my negative battery terminal, and attached the red lead to my positive battery cable. All worked perfectly. I left my home and lost power. The power steering was dead and the engine died. I pushed the key fob to ON. I was able to return home. I removed the kill switch device and had difficulty starting the car. After three attempts, she started up and I gunned the engine. All is well, I idled the engine for 20 minutes. My guess is the kill switch somehow interfered with the fuel injection because it seemed like I wasn't getting any fuel. Sorry everybody, I really like this product, but my wife uses the car and I can't chance using it.

PT Cruiser parasitic draw of .300. This item can be customized pretty easily. Loosen the screws and you can rotate the tabs. The tabs can also be bent for better access. Battery does not need to be a flattop, just needs room to maneuver. I bolted the negative cable directly to the tab. Works perfect. However, you will lose your settings every time (depending on your vehicle). You could use an OB2 supplying the needed power when you turn the battery off, but more of a nuisance for me. Seems well made and durable at a good price point.
