The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for my toddler son because, growing up, my father was in to remote controlled electronics (cars, planes) and I’d have so much fun going to play with him. These days the market is flooded with R/C toys, and with so many options out there they can all just blur together to a first-time buyer. The first thing about this truck that jumps out to me is the size – it’s pretty small. No rock climbing with this toy. That being said, this is a pretty basic R/C toy, and a good first R/C toy for a child – you won’t lose any sleep if it gets driven into a curb at top speed, and with speed of this it probably wouldn't do much damage either. There’s nothing special, unique, or different about this model. It’s basically 1 of any 100 similar options out there. It does, however, seem to be a tad pricey for what you’re getting. I mean, I didn’t pay for this, but at the retail price, I would have expected some additional options added to the truck. Here are my observations: 1. There’s no speed control. It’s just one speed all around I was expecting at least a high/low speed option, if not precision speed control. 2. The hand remote is all plastic. There’s no rubber grip on the steering wheel. Nicer models have a rubber grip. 3. Trim control. There are only two buttons on the remote – forward/reverse, and right/left. There’s no electronic trim control. The trim control is a manual switch under the truck. 4. It doesn’t go very fast. The listed speed must be the speed the wheels turn if you flip it upside down and there’s no resistance. That’s my opinion. I’m pretty sure I can run faster than this at top speed. 5. The struts/coil springs. There’s very little play. See picture. Enough said. 6. The USB battery charger takes almost 2 hours to charge each battery. There’s no 5-minute fast charger option. 7. The range, 50 meters, is not that great. 8. There’s a screw holding the battery cover in place. That’s the first thing I’m going to lose. Who wants to carry a screwdriver in their pocket to the park to change a battery? In summary, there’s nothing special about this R/C truck, it’s very similar to any number of similar or lower priced options out there. I docked a star because the speed and the battery pack are on the low end for this price point. That being said, everything works and it does look nice. Update 4/17/22 (Easter) Additional observations and a video after more play time. 1. The battery lasts a really long time, considering the size. It lasts much longer on pavement than when being used on dirt roads. You can tell when the battery is on empty because the front wheels become less responsive on turns. 2. The motor has very little starting torque. Once you get stuck it's pretty much a sandbag until you retrieve it. On more powerful motors the wheels kick up dirt when it gets stuck. This will just click but the wheels won't turn so get stuck more often, and it has much less climbing ability. At least that saves the tires from wear. After you build up momentum it will bounce along a dirt road/mounds pretty good for its size. 3. The two rear wheels are locked together. That means if one wheel is off the ground, the other will keep turning at the same speed. This is better for off-road, of course, 4WD would be best. 4. There's no partial turns for the front wheels. It's a full turn or no turn. It has a very short turn radius. 5. I tried very hard to get it to flip or donut. I just couldn't do it, even with the assistance of dirt mounds. This is a RC Car that is a great size for a child. It is very durable and easy to setup for use. I love the fact that 2 batteries are included. My child loves the LED lights. It will provide many hours of fun. I highly recommend this product.

I like this car as it is slower than some of the "fast ones." This makes it easier to operate for those learning RC controls. More control means less crashing and crashes have less force. I drove a $200 RC car at 30mph into a concrete parking lot structure and snapped the axel. There is less worry about that with the slower cars. I can let my younger kids drive this one without worrying too much. But it is still fast enough that it is fun to drive. If you are looking for a slower, safer car, this is it! ... show more

This thing is pretty cool! Turned out as an excellent starter car for my 6yr old son! It has 2wd but our area is pretty flat without a lot of tall grass, so it works out great here! I think he will be able to get used to full control and the speed of this, but it seems like it gives him a lot of room to grow his skill level - came with two battery packs for it as well, they're the 3.7 volt, so I am able to swap in the fully charged one during play but I'm pretty sure I can find an upgraded 3.7 volts to last longer too - uses 3 AAA batteries for the controller (not included) and the battery packs have their own charger with green/red light for charge status - I did take their suggestion in the instructions and moved the receiver antenna on the car to be higher up on the body of the car, just to make sure the range and connection to controller was the best it could be - definitely a fantastic choice for your younger kids who want to get started in RC! ... show more
