Plus, the 15-piece kit puts the final touches on your haircut with: barber cape, 8 guide combs, barber scissors, blade oil and guard, cleaning brush, and a storage pouch to keep it all together. Compared to Remington HC1080 It is recommended to oil the blades after every use to avoid pulling of hairs. Place 1 to 2 drops of lubricating oil on the moving blade and turn on the clipper. The oil should distribute on its own. Wipe off any excess oils.

    • Sturdy clippers give impressive cut...
We just received these clippers a few days ago and I used them to cut my husbands coarse/ wavy hair. Not only did they give a nice, sharp trim, but the clippers themselves are sturdy and ergonomic with a rubber grip. No worries about noise or excessive heating either. Just clean cutting action. The blades do not adjust down to zero, but they are close enough to clean up the neck area and around the ears. I was impressed with the guide combs and how nicely the clippers cut at each length of comb. The blade slides out for cleaning (which is recommended at the end of every cutting session) and oil is provided for keeping the blades lubricated. Very happy with this purchase! ____________________________ Now almost a year later, I just want to say these are still great! They continue to work flawlessly, seem to be just as sharp as ever, and look brand new. Highly recommend! ____________________________ We've been using these regularly for four years now and I love how they still give a professional cut while being quiet and efficient.     • 6 year update!! Still The best ive had.
UPDATE 6 Years later: bought in 2016 This is still the best electric razor I have ever bought, I use it once a month and it still cuts like hot butter just be sure to oil up the blades after each use. No complaints at all, even my review below this saying a small issue with the easily removable head was not a problem i thought it to be. I was actually looking for a shorter shave guard and thought hey lets give this an update. BTW the shortest guard is 3mm or 1/8th. This thing is still running like brand new when I got it, compared to more expensive barber trimmers I had, this blows the tops off those with half the price. see you in 6 years for another update lol. I've used this razor 3 times since i got it and every time has been a pleasure. -its lightweight -relatively quiet -nice grip -very nice sturdy cord/long -head is easy to detach and put on to clean -kit has all the essentials you need. The only minor problem for me is the head is extremely easy to push off, im scared it might come off while i'm using it. But so far it has not. I'm really glad i purchased this one. ... show more

    • Game changer for kids
My now 5 year old son, who is on the spectrum, has always struggled with hair cuts. Every single time we’ve dealt with screaming, crying, gagging, & him trying to run away from the clippers. I saw that these were supposedly really quiet and great for kids, so I took a chance & replaced my old faithful ones. When I say there was a night & day difference, I mean it! I let him hear how much quieter they were than the others, then he sat for his entire haircut, proclaiming what a good job he was doing! No tears, no whining, & he felt so cool having his own cape to wear as well! Definitely wish I would have purchased these sooner and saved a few years of stress!     • Great trimmer to cut your own hair
Great product to groom oneself during the COVID19 quarantine. This is a simple basic hair trimmer set great for people who want to cut their own hair. The rubber grip ergonomically fits in your hand just right. Its small, light, low noise is what sets this product from its competitors. The set comes with a cape to shield your clothes and brush and oil to clean and lubricate the trimmer after use. Set also comes with comb and scissors which I did not use. This unit is basic since the attachments do not include the left and right ear guides and does not have the open/close blade .5 flip adjustment on the side. Cuts smoothly with no snagging and provides a haircut just like a barbershop. I also bought the Wahl 2 in 1 with built in trimmer which has more attachments, adjustments and is better for cutting other peoples hair but not on yourself since it is heavier, noisier and doesn't grip/feel as good in your hand as this Remington. I only wish this Remington had a trimmer feature. I regret not buying any type of hair trimmer sooner since I would have saved so much money by cutting my own hair and haircuts for my 2 sons. The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is because I had it for 2 days and do not know the long-term durability of this product. ... show more
