D) battery immediately died when reconnected to batt terminals.. Quality 10 out of 10. Lower cost than dealer unit, and no core charge..Replace the idler pulley and belt if over 60k or was replaced before. QUICK HACK: on lower idler arm use long zip ties (or coat hanger) to pull back bottom tensioner, attach to RH sway bar mount, and allow reinstallation of belt loosely. It easier to align. I installed this alternator in August of 2022. It seemed to work fine until December of 2023. I experienced an electrical issue while driving so I took it to my local shop. My local shop is saying that this alternator is dropping out voltage occasionally and needs to be replaced. I am highly disappointed that this part only lasted 14-15 months. ... show more

The description of the product stated this was a new alternator however the box clearly said “remanufactured “. I installed the alternator and it has performed without any problems. In my understanding new and remanufactured are two different things.
