  • Just Perfect!
Update: 9/23/20 Thank you for keeping the price point real... back to the $29.99. Restoring my rating to 5 stars. -------------------- Update: 9/18/20 Took my rating down from 5 stars down to 3 because of the price increase... I just posted the review below a few days ago. When I purchased this on 9/08/20, my price was only $29.99, and as of yesterday, I see it is "currently unavailable" and the price went up to $53.26 which is a shame. Raising the price only places this portable shower into a larger competitive market which includes battery powered and USB chargeable showers which spray longer. You need to lower your price back down, because you are now pricing yourself out of your market because customers who spend around $50 or more have a much larger selection to choose from on that price point. It's not like you can't go on YouTube and watch videos on how to make one of these from a garden sprayer and a hose and sprayer. The reason I bought this is because the cost would have been about the same. Now I could make my own cheaper than it would be to buy one. So... you've just priced yourself out of your market. For the smart consumers who are the do it yourself type, they will (1) go to YouTube, (2) watch the videos and (3) make their own for $30 or under... or just buy a different shower that sprays longer, for the $50+ you raised your price to. -------------------- I received this yesterday, put it into use today. At first glance, I was afraid I would have trouble twisting the lid off to fill it because it was so tight, but there are two little stops built in on the left and right in the handle, so that makes it easy when you turn it to loosen or tighten. I have trouble gripping lids, so this was a big plus! Now for the pressure. I wasn't expecting too much based on other reviews I read, but I'll have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. It is not like a full pressure shower, but it isn't a slow dribble either. It is just right. There is plenty of pressure that comes out when you press the handle. How long did the water last me? I had enough to use for two people if you wet down, then wash, then press the handle to rinse again. This was another pleasant surprise since I knew it was only 2 gallons. Seems like the pressure makes the water go longer. The hose is long enough to sit the tank outside of the bathtub, and the shower spigot fits in my regular shower holder. I did remove the neoprene cover because I thought I would have to sit it inside the tub; however, I will not have to do that because of the nice long hose. It was easy to get ready. Just fill it with water. There are water marks on the side on a see through strip. Next, I pressurized it and sprayed some of the water into one of my cookers to bring to a nice hot temperature. Then I used a funnel and a cup to dip the hot water out of the cooker and pour into the tank. Over all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only improvement I would like to see is a wider opening that a canning funnel would fit into, because I had to use a small mouth liquid funnel for pouring due to the small opening. I measured the opening. It is about 1 3/4 inches. My canning funnel is 2 inches. That would make a big difference when pouring in the hot water. If it were 2 inches, I could just pour straight from my cooker. Not a deal breaker though. I plan on using this for all kinds of other tasks as well. Like watering plants, using it to wash my dog, and a quick spray for dirt on the car. I'm sure I'll think of lots of other uses. It's handy, small and you can take it along with you anywhere. I plan on using it when I'm camping. It's like all the convenience of a regular shower. The container is a medium gray color, in addition to the black neoprene cover. I had no temperature drop when I poured in the hot water and let it sit for about a half hour before I used it the first time which was without the neoprene cover. I plan on putting that back on now, since I know I can sit it on the floor just outside of the tub. Over all, I really like this. If you have a well and the electric goes off, you can still take a great shower. Thumbs up on my review. I compared this for quite some time before I made my purchasing decision. I looked at the Zodi, the Nemo Helio pressure shower, and the Rinse Kit Plus kit 2 gallon, but I went with the Reliance strictly based on cost. This is such a very affordable option. Thank you Reliance! Buy one, you will love it. ... show more

  • TOXIC BEWARE and weak spray.
UPDATE # 2 What was I thinking—olive oil? Dang I pulled this thing out again and it is giving off a super strong chemical smell even after many months of even having this taken apart (to air out) and stored. Now this is my first time actually using it out than testing. Again WEAK spray. Very bulky and annoying product given the spray and you have to pump frequently. I even took the washer out and widened the hole in an attempt to get a stronger spray but to no avail. MOST IMPORTANTLY I would NEVER use it on my body or a pet or edible plant. You should not either. I even sprayed some in a glass and could smell some of the toxicity transferred to the water. STAY AWAY from this worthless product. INSTEAD get a battery/rechargeable pump that you put in a bucket of water. There are several types. I recommend you never buy a pressure pump product for use on body or edible plants given I had a similar experience with that horrible toxic smell with another pressure pump product too. Understand there is a toxic lube being used and it does make some contact with the water. This went from a 2 star to 1 star review. Use it only for utility purposes, like maybe rinsing your tools or something. UPDATE: So I realize the pump tube comes apart and inside actually smells like olive oil for lack of a better description. There is defiantly a light lube in there and yes some water can get into the pump. As for what is creating the toxic smell I do not know. Maybe it actually is the plastic. It’s something. And spraying this on my hands leaves a chemical smell on my hands. So I stand by my initial review: is this toxic? I do not recommend for regular use on body parts. May be safe for occasional use, like when you go to the beach and have to clean sand off your feet before you get in the car. Also good for light jobs outdoors—like rinsing off your dusty lawn chair, etc. but also must note, aside from the toxicity concern the spray is weak, as others noted. For rinsing body I recommend find another product not a pressure pump one. This is the second pressure pump type item I bought that has that strong toxic smell. Try a portable battery operated rinser, or gravity shower. ————- The first thing I noticed after opening the box was this incredibly strong chemical smell. It was not the smell of plastic, but smelled like w-40 or some other industrial lubricant. In the past I bought a pump garden sprayer which was much cheaper but worked very well, although it too had that intense smell. I figured this one is actually designed for personal use, so surely they would not use a toxic lube in the pump. But as said right away I smell the smell. The box has been opened in my car for maybe two weeks now. I been meaning to bring it in to wash it out hoping to try and eliminate the odor and chemical. I been very busy but remembered to bring it in today because I could smell the smell. The pump pumps air into the water chamber and also feels slightly greasy to the touch though not much. I feel that even if washed this toxin will be released into the water along with the air and I cannot see how water could not also enter the pump and thereby also come into contact with the chemical. I sure would like to know what these manufacturers are using to lube these pumps. For that reason (the chemical lube) I give this product a low score. Again I stress this is not a plastic smell. It is a very strong industrial lube chemical smell. I would not recommend frequent use of this product. As for the garden sprayer I purchased prior to this, I had washed it thoroughly but the smell would not go away. I imagine the case would be the same for this product. Also I did try it out but not with a lot of water. The spray seemed kind of weak—compared to the power of the smaller garden sprayer when low. I don’t know yet how powerful it would be with a full tank. It may be a healthier choice to purchase a battery operated sprayer. They are not very expensive and surely would not need a chemical lube. ... show more
