We can designate which bin is for what type so everything is sorted before we even go to the recycle center...plus it's compact and doesn't take up a lot of space. These are great for recycling! I love that they stack and that the tops flip up for easy access. I had been using little baskets from the Dollar Tree store and they were flimsy and didn’t hold enough. The colors are fun, too. They seem to be big enough to hold my weekly cans, bottles, and plastic. Occasionally I’ll have a big laundry detergent jug that takes up a lot of space, but that is not the norm. If they were bigger they would be a bit unwieldy for me. Be sure to inspect everything closely. My first delivery, the box was crushed in one corner, and all the lids had cracks around the hinges. I sent them back and they quickly reshipped new ones that were perfect! ... show more

    • good bins for small household recycling use
My town doesn't pick up recycling (boo!) so I have to take it myself. These would be ideal for a very small household with curbside recycling. But I needed something to sort my recycling. These would be fine if I made a trip weekly but I like to save gas and wait at least two weeks, so... not perfect. These have a hard time holding two weeks worth of recycling if you have a lot of cat food cans and Ch*wy boxes like me. You'll have to find an indoor spot for them. ... show more

They are the perfect size and hold a lot! We use them to separate our recycling and compost in house so we don't have to go outside to the big trash cans every day. The lids snap on allowing the front flap to open and close easily. I love that you can still open them while stacked, we had thought about buying regular tupaware bins but these are perfect for the job! Well made, love the 3 colors, helps with sorting, we added labels anyway so there's no confusion. Definitely recommend! ... show more

    • Absolute overpriced junk
These bins are a nice concept but they're made out of the weakest plastic known to man. The slightest encounter with another object and they break. The first set showed up all smashed up just from shipping. Second set lasted maybe a week until they started breaking. Would not recommend.

These work so well, we bought two sets. They are not big and bulky like the ones we had before. Only thing is, one of the sets came with cracks in the bottoms. We contacted the Amazon/seller and they were immediately replaced without us having to lug them to UPS for return. That was very satisfying.

The first time they arrived all the lids were cracked so I returned them and ordered a replacement. The replacement cam and the blue bin lid was cracked. I am keeping them because I like them but wish there was a way to replace just the lid.

These bins have stood up to life with teenagers AND multiple trips to the recycling center without a problem. I was looking for stackable bins that would be easy to toss recycling into, even for reluctant teenagers, and these fit the bill. The flaps stay open as pictured, making them super convenient to use.
