We bought this (along with a matching bookcase/drawers stand) for my husband's home office- we weren't sure what to expect, buying something like this online- but decided to take a chance, and we were not disappointed- it was sturdy, delivered in great shape with no damage at all, the finish was really beautiful and well made, it was perfect for my husband's needs as he has a couple of computer monitors he needs to have on the desk at the same time- no sticking drawers or doors that don't line up. The rustic look of the wood, the color, we were just so happy with it, and the price was actually really good- we would have paid a lot more for the same thing at a local furniture store, I know because I checked! I’ve been looking for an L-shaped desk and this was the best choice. I was surprised at the quality and it’s heavy. It came in two boxes, separate days and the larger on was extremely heavy. Thank goodness I didn’t live on a third floor. There was a lot of pieces and tons of screws. They kindly included a small bag of extra of screws. The directions were pictures and not words, but didn’t seem a problem. It actually came together pretty well. The drawers fit perfectly and soft closing. The size its very nice for my purpose. The picture showed an oak top and it’s more grey. I preferred the oak. I put this together by myself. Ideally you need two people but wasn’t available. I’m a 67yr. old women very handy and if I can do it you can too. ... show more

This desk was delivered within two weeks of purchasing and came in two large boxes. It took some time to put together but was well worth the wait. I researched and priced many different desks and this one was well worth the price. It looks great and upgraded my office. My only negative is the two drawers on the right side do not come out far and are a little wobbly. However, the rest of the desk is excellent and sturdy. I love the final result! This desk is sturdy, spacious, and looks great in my home office. The antique white finish gives it a nice rustic touch, and the built-in charging station is super convenient. That said, it took me several days to put together on my own. The quality of this desk is excellent! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but be prepared—it will take you at least 6 hours to assemble. Make sure to build it in the room where you plan to keep it since the desk weighs over 140 lbs when fully assembled. There are a lot of parts, so I recommend taking each one out and checking it off the list before you start. While the instructions advise against using a power drill, I used one on the lowest setting (level 1), and it worked perfectly. It saved me a lot of time, just make sure to keep the power low. Don't be overwhelmed by the number of parts; the directions are straightforward. Taking inventory of each part before assembling is crucial. The only issue I encountered was with the brackets for the drawers. I had to lower them slightly from the original markings because the drawers wouldn’t close initially. Once adjusted, everything fit perfectly, and I’m very happy with the desk now. The instructions say two people are needed for assembly, but I was able to do most of it by myself. I only needed help in a couple of spots where my wife held pieces while I secured them. Also, have extra wood glue on hand since the provided tube wasn't enough. If you plan on using a power drill, I highly recommend having a flexible drill extension (snake bit) to help get into tight spaces. Follow these tips, and you should have no trouble putting the desk together. I hope this helps! ... show more

Desk is pretty, but beware that the drawers are not even 12 inches deep, so there's a lot of wasted space. Cabinet on left goes the whole way to the back of the desk, as does the filing drawer on the right, but the other three drawers are very small.

Good quality desk. It does take a while to put together, I took my time and probably spent 5 hours to finish. It states not to use power tools; use power tools and a little common sense and it will be a lot easier. Some of the pilot holes were not that great and getting a screw started with a screwdriver was a pain. This is not a $2,000 hand made desk, it was less than $250 and suits our needs for a home work station. For the money, you couldn't do too much better. ... show more
