Wow! Very impressed with the quality for the cost! Directions were 9 out of 10. I got hung up on 2 steps, but I think that was more me than the directions. The pilot holes that were made were pretty bad, but easily fixable. As a female putting this together mostly on my own, it took me in total around nine hours! I will say though, well worth it! This desk comes with many pieces and many different types of screws as well as several different sizes of dowels. However, everything was well labeled and instructions were clear. It was very time consuming to assemble - took two of us about six hours to do (including a few breaks). But when all was done, the desk is very sturdy and it all came together perfectly. This desk was delivered within two weeks of purchasing and came in two large boxes. It took some time to put together but was well worth the wait. I researched and priced many different desks and this one was well worth the price. It looks great and upgraded my office. My only negative is the two drawers on the right side do not come out far and are a little wobbly. However, the rest of the desk is excellent and sturdy. Product doesn't even deserve a star! Assembling the desk was nothing short of a nightmare. I am a maintenance professional and am extremely qualified to assemble what should have been a relatively quick process. Under 2 hours would have been the norm for a furniture piece of this size. The first day, I spent 4 hours partially assembling it and the following day, approximately 3 more hours more to finish it. This furniture is extremely heavy for its size. I will say that the instructions were easy to read and comprehend. Once the desk was assembled, I realized that the height and width of the opening where you sit, did not fit my 6' 2" frame. I felt like I was sitting at a kids desk. Nowhere on the description or specifications were these dimensions detailed. I started a return on Amazon and was instructed to disassemble and put the product back in its original packaging so it could be sent to the third party vendor. To disassemble it would be impossible, since the assembly process consisted of using glue. I would have had to take it apart with a sledge hammer, which would've destroyed it. After starting a return and calling Amazon Customer service four times, and then putting in a claim with their A-Z guarantee, I realized that they were not going to do anything for me, All they did was repeatedly email me a form letter, which did not address the issue I was having, and the subsequently cancel the claim a few days later. This happened four (4) times. It should be noted, that the cost to ship the product back to the third party vendor, assembled, would have been $1,500. Amazon did not come through and refund me for the product that I can't use. On a good note, the manufacturer offered me $35 to keep it, which is a joke. I will never purchase any type of furniture again from Amazon. ... show more

Exceptional Customer Service, High Quality and Beautiful Product. Very heavy and long so be ready for help living this bad boy. I bought two do them and it took me about 7hrs on the first one (construction is not my trade) and less the 6hr on the second once I figured it out. I did have a damaged top one of them but they were fast responding and got me the substitution quickly and without any fuss. Nice enough but took many hours to put together and my husband’s a champ at building things! Be prepared for 7 or more hours! Had some damage, on bottom side of top so okay. Fed Ex is not easy handlers tho! After all said and done, it will serve the purpose!
