Just follow the included step-by-step instructions Connect the side panels to the base and secure with screws. Insert the divider and slide in the back panels. Attach the mantel top to complete the frame. Carefully place the 36" fireplace insert into the center opening and secure with brackets. Adjust the shelves in the side cabinets as needed. All parts are labeled, and hardware is included. A Phillips screwdriver is required. We recommend two adults for safe assembly. Once complete, simply plug the fireplace into a standard 120V outlet and enjoy adjustable flame brightness, heat settings, and a cozy farmhouse look. I just wish that the side cabinet lights were just white and not tied to the color of the flames, but that is where the lights get their power so that is just the way it is. It is certainly a project to assemble, I build lots of models so I was ready for the assembly project. With that said it still took me 5 1/2 hours to put this together. Love this! Not only is it a beautiful, durable piece of furniture, but it works so well. This is in our walkout basement, so we wanted something downstairs to save on heating costs in the winter, and this does heat the space well. We also love how this has a traditional realistic fire. Some reviewers say they didn’t like the “stone” panels. Although it would have looked a little better if the panels had a 3D effect to make it look more realistic, but honestly, it still looks beautiful for the price. There were a lot of pieces, so it does take a little time to put together, but if you can follow directions easily, you’ll have no issues. ... show more

I was worried about spending this amount of money and what if something went wrong. Unfortunately, something arrived broken but customer service was absolutely amazing! They got the piece back out to us in no time. It is absolutely beautiful. We get so many compliments on it! The size is perfect and it definitely has functionality to it. The heater works great! We had no difficulty with the remote control, it is easy to understand. Yes, you are spending a little bit of money but you're getting excellent quality and value. The only morning I have is that it is not easy to put together. My husband is not handy at all and I am definitely not handy. It took us probably about 3 hours to put it together. There were a lot of parts and pieces! So I would just be sure to have someone handy. It truly looks beautiful though!! Take your time putting it together because it is easy to mix up what you're doing and you have to start over. That was our biggest thing is we needed to slow down. I love how this has transformed our little living room into a cozy little getaway. Definitely worth $$$. My husband and I got us a Christmas gift for each other and no regrets! ... show more

We are very happy with the fireplace. It is very solid and puts out great heat. The flame insert looks very realistic with several different colors and flame speeds. The engineered wood is sturdy and looks real. It is a bit of a chore to put together - but that speaks mainly to the quality of the construction. The one "weakness" is the sticker they use to simulate the rock inlay. I am sure it was done to keep weight down (and therefore shipping costs). I solved that part by purchasing some cut river stone, Liquid Nails, and black grout at Home Depot. Spent about 90 minutes adhering the stone and then grouting. It really turned out well (see pictures - before and after grouting). That solved the one issue we had with the fireplace and really makes it stand out. ... show more

The fireplace is a beautiful addition to a living room or den area. The cabinet and mantle are very heavy and solid. The fireplace / heater insert works beautifully. The was a bit time consuming to assemble, following instructions is paramount with this item. But the result is worth the effort. Very happy with the fireplace.
