    • Great, REAL kids tools!
I purchased this for my 4 year old nephew, and he loved it! We go out in the building, and I let him practice hammering nails, sawing wood, etc....The tool belt makes it really "official" too. Lol! Now keep in mind, THESE ARE REAL TOOLS! So if you're thinking of buying them for a young kid, I'd definitely recommend supervision...or else, they may saw off a finger, or the leg of your table! ... show more

    • Real Tools Are Best For Kids
This was a gift for my 6 year old granddaughter. She loved it. One concern was the tool belt was adjustable, but could not go small enough to fit my granddaughter. I had to take a large ‘tuck’ in the belt with my sewing machine. I would like to have seen the saw come with a simple cardboard “sleeve” to protect little hands when not in use. We’ll make our own, but it would have been nice to come with that. It would also be nice if a companion tool box or satchel was available. I picked out one on Amazon but it’s hard to find a bag that will fit the saw, yet still be small enough for a child to haul around. Overall, a very good set. ... show more

    • Great gift for little helpers
This set was a Christmas gift for my 4-year old helper, and he was thrilled. The tools are the real deal, just sized for little hands. He is so excited to get to use them and keeps wandering around the house asking if he can saw or hammer things. We keep the tools out of reach in the garage with our tools because, as I said, these are real and should be treated as such. But it’s so fun for my son to learn how to use them. ... show more

I bought this for my 9 year old so he can help me work around the farm and he loves it. The tools it comes with are very sturdy for the price and great for a youngster who wants to learn how to use them. The hammer, in particular, impressed me. Rather than one of those cheap, tube steal hammers that usually come in children's tool sets, the hammer is solid and strong. I bought this for my young grandson because he had made a tool caddy in Boyscouts. I wasn't sure he would appreciate getting tools for Christmas. I added a couple of other Stanley products to this gift. They are well-made and he was thrilled. He has already used them to make a Pine-box Derby car which he raced and placed 4th overall.
