ordered this to be installed on a new ar I was building for a friend. when arrived there was no instructions for the battery installation, which was no big deal....but the red dot would not turn on you get what you pay for...try something else

Due to amazons guidelines i cant post the video of me drop testing this. I bought this for a extra one that i had without a optic thinking it would atleast last a few shots and 200 later still solid.... I've bought 100$ optics that have held their zeros less than this one. I drop tested the optic from 4' with 3 different variations involved. Once was straight on the optic itself which resulted in zero damage to the optic and still a zerod. Second was running then dropping it on the side which resulted in the same result as the first time. Third time was dropping on the stock then allowing it to hit however it wanted which was on the optic again. This optic just wont lose its zero.... Like i said before ive bought knock off acog optics that were 100$+ and they didnt last more than 10 shots without issues arising. This optic is a knock off of the Eotech 551 variant and this one works just as well. The buttons are a bit more cluncky and it doesnt have a auto shut off after 8 hours like the higher dollar variant. If i had to make one complaint it would be that battery saver auto shut off feature. Other than that it works great and holds under pressure. ... show more

When I switch to green it seems like the red is going to and doesn't quite like up causing it to look doubled
