It's just the mister and I now. So no big dinners, or any other meal. These casserole dishes are perfect for us. They are perfect at keeping me within the limits of cooking for two. Even though I know it's just us, I tend to cook too much. That's okay at times because we end up with leftovers, but some meals, I don't want to have left overs. Like nachos. Very well made, substantial weight. The handles are really nice, I am short and have a hard time bending forward with my bad knees, so having a good amount of handle accessible for pot holder gra really helps me around a hot oven. I misplaced my small casserole dish about a year ago, and have been in dire need of a replacement since. It's good to a have small one as I often cook for myself. These are very cute, I love sage green and the pattern on the outside is very cute. Having two of them is very nice, so I can make more than one small dish for myself. These are just the perfect meal-size! We use microwaveable containers to prepare and refrigerate meals for someone who can't do it themselves. The ceramic dish does well in the refrigerator and in the microwave or oven. Then it goes right in the dishwasher and comes clean very easily. I love the ceramic, it's as good as pyrex, and I refuse to use plastic for microwaving or eating. The person we got these for loves them -- thinks the light green color is very cute, and the handles make it easier for her to hold on to the dish while she is eating. The only reason I removed a star is because there is no lid, so when I put the dish in the refrigerator I need to use one of those plastic fruit bonnets that has the elastic around the edge. ... show more
