This is a beautiful casserole baking dish. It was VERY well packaged so that it did not get damaged in shipping. I made 3 layer (could have done 4 layers) lasagna this weekend with the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes and it was perfect. I sprayed it very lightly with cooking spray ( as I do with all my baking dishes and pans) and clean up was a breeze. When I took it out of the oven I placed it on thick cloth pot holders until dish cooled. I'm not new to ceramic dish cooking and have been using ceramic oven dishes for decades. Rule #1 NEVER use in ovens above 400 degrees Fahrenheit (even if dish directions state oven can go higher/hotter) and Rule #2 NEVER suddenly change the temperature of the dish (Example: do not take a hot dish and put it immediately into water or set on a real cold surface and never take a cold dish immediately from refrigerator or freezer and put it into a hot oven or microwave). Drastic sudden changes in temperature for ceramic will cause it to crack and break maybe not the first time but eventually it will happen. I am very pleased with this dish. It is heavy and sturdy. This is actually my first casserole dish, but I have had to clean my mom's glass dishes and I can say with confidence that this is WAY easier to clean. Even with a very quick soak it will scrape clean with no issue. The only problem you may run into is that it is quite heavy. Even so, the fact that over the past year-and-a-half I've made mostly red sauce-based casseroles and it hasn't stained at all is really great. The one thing that I'm not as happy with is the inside height of the lid: I regularly will get cheese sticking to it and wish it had more space (though I recognize that it may be shallower in order to take up less space in the oven. The lid also isn't glazed around the rim, which- again- cheese will stick to even more than the rest of the lid (to note- I think this is a product of the manufacturing process and therefore am not sure if it's reasonable to expect any different). I, however, don't think these two critiques are enough to warrant losing a star over: especially because they are features I think are explainable. ... show more

I love this pan! I use it at least once a week and it has been amazing. However, my adult son dropped the lid while he was cleaning it and it shattered. I bought a replacement pan and lid because you can't just replace the lid. When the new set arrived, the lid doesn't fit the pan...lost a star for that. But otherwise a great set! ... show more
