Description

DISCLAIMER: It's important to unpack roofing material as soon as possible to avoid creasing PVC RV roofing is an improved roofing system that does not chalk, fade or leave streaks. This roofing membrane is lightweight which can overtime save on gas mileage. Although it's lighter in weight than EPDM RV rubber roof, it's amazingly strong and will not puncture, crack or tear. This PVC also keeps its white color by being resistant to sunlight (no discoloration). This single ply roofing system is 0.165 lbs and only 0.028" thick. Update your RV roof today with the 8.5' PVC RV roofing. Recommended for installation If one surface is porous (has small holes or spaces), such as plywood or fiberboard, it is recommended to wet laminate the membrane to the substrate. If both surfaces are non-porous, such as EPS or ISO apply the adhesive to both surfaces 4-5 mils and allow to dry approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on conditions. The adhesive will turn from white to clear when it is dry. Apply membrane to roof deck and roll or broom down the sheet to assure 100% contact area.

  • Good quality. Happy with purchase!
Size: 30'
The roofing arrived folded, but this does not damage the PVC material in any way. When you ship adhesive (or paint or any liquid) you run the risk of leakage. The adhesive did leak, but Rec Pro was smart enough to place the bucket in a large zip lock bag to ensure any leakage wouldn't get out into the box. If I wanted zero leakage, I wouldn't have bought online for a great price! All in the install went great. I only needed 25 ft, but buying the 30 ft gave me more than enough of everything (butyl tape, adhesive, lap sealant), so I'm glad I did. ... show more

  • Good DIY roof kit
Size: 15'
I did a re-roof on my brothers RV in the middle of November in Missouri. Daytime temps were in the 60-70 degree range initially, but a storm blew throw and tanked it to 30 to 50 degrees during the day. What should have been a week long trip stretched into 2 weeks. This product should not have been used at those temperatures, but if you can do it during the middle of the day, it works fine even at those temperatures. I would say if you do this as a project, have it be enclosed or at least under something to protect it all from the elements if possible, and having 2 people is much better than only one person doing it, especially if it's cold outside. This product wasn't even on my list of purchases because I did have a deadline that I needed to follow, but the much more expensive and potentially 'better' roofing material that was only supposed to be 2 days from ordering took a week to arrive, whereas this product that said it would take them a week to show up took 2 days, came with all the glue and caulking that I needed to work on this project. If you need a good material to do the job, this one is great in my opinion. ... show more

  • Good company
Size: 20'
The product itself is exactly what you need in order to replace the ROOF of your trailer. However.... - You will need more of the Butyal or whatever it's called tape and RV caulking. They provide the amount to complete the roof section, but all your various openings will need more at least 3x more tape and caulk to install. - The glue has a packing/shipping issue where myself and others have had the glue open up at some point and was a sticky mess inside the portion of packing, which at least isolates it to only the separate glue box within the overall large box. So much of mine was gone that I was concerned about having enough to complete the entire roof. Contacted company via Amazon and they sent another bucket of glue for free.................... It also leaked, although nowhere near as bad as the 1st. ... show more

  • Quality material
Size: 15'
Product’s exactly as described. They did send white self leveling sealant, with the white roofing, which was great! Great quality liner for roof. It would have been nice to have some direction with the adhesive, as far as how thick, approximate time to wait for proper adhesion between the two layers, etc. You can find info on the web, but would have been nice to have it included in the kit. Two large rolls of the mastic so plenty to work with. Four tubes of sealant. I had adhesive leftover, which I plan to use on another project, but it did cause concern that maybe I didn’t put enough. So far no leaks, but it’s also been dry outside. It also did sit in the same shipping warehouse for four days and didn’t move so the creases were set in. Few hours in the sun and it was much easier to work with. One crease/fold didn’t completely come out and is noticeable on roof. ... show more

  • Missing the roof !
Size: 15'
Received the kit in a large box. Opened it to check contents and to my surprise there was no roof fabric! Mind you this was a kit with glue, caulk, butyl rubber and fabric. The fabric is the most expensive item in the kit. Spoke with a very helpful lady in customer service and she said they would ship the fabric out and apologized. The only real beef I have is I asked could they expedite the order as the first one was 8 days from order to delivery and I thought I was putting the roof on tomorrow but she said sorry they can't ? expedite an order. How can you not pay for faster shipping to fix your own companies mistake. Received the order to replace the missing roof and lo and behold they sent 4.5 ft wide materiaL instead of the 8.5. Back on the phone to customer service, another helpful rep and she said she would talk to the shipping manager and have the 3rd !!! order expedited. No expedited shipping, received the roof material a week later. Immediately unpacked it to roll it out and immediately saw an 8" slit in the fabric 43" in from the end and 14 " in from the edge. Obviously from a careless utility knife and an even more careless worker. Back on the phone to customer service. Another nice rep who said she was a manager and would absolutely expedite the order in the morning. We will see. Can't believe how much trouble this has been. If not for the customer service agents at least being pleasant I would have asked for a refund long ago. Based on my experience will never buy from RecPro again and would caution anyone from buying from them. No excuse for this kind of experience . ... show more

  • Skeptical at first but all good
Size: 35'
Poor packaging, flimsy box. It’s heavy and needs a better box. I put a blue tarp down in the driveway and put the rubber roof on the tarp to heat up and get ready to roll. About two hours and was ready. Very heavy (35 ft). Adhesive is good and sealant is good best for a two person job. I did by myself. A full days work. ... show more

  • Glue failed
Size: 15'
Rubber seems nice and strong, but the glue failed on my first trip and the wind caused a rip in the rubber exposing glue that was still tacky?? I doused the roof with a think layer but it never seemed to set. My first trip was over a month after installation so I'm not sure what happened. I put another layer of glue down and re-taped everything.. hope it holds this time! ... show more
