This is the best!! Purchase for my daughter's dorm room. If there's one major purchase besides a laptop this is it. College kiddos need rest after long days and classes and studying. A comfortable topper is key to that. The mattresses that come with the dorms aren't exactly a cloud. With this... it is. The straps help it stay secure on her mattress. It wasn't too hot. After much research I picked this one for the company who makes it and the plush cover and materials. A review I read somewhere about toppers said anything more than 2” is a waste of money. So I got the 2”, after going to the tempurpedic store and seeing a 3”. This king size topper is perfect. The cover is high quality and after the memory breaks in just a few nights the memory foam is super comfy. I had to let it sit open for two days but it was easy to fold and move into my room once it was ready. If there was a new smell it was not much. I’d highly recommend this brand.

I bought a king size 2 inch egg crate mattress topper six years ago, (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089ME0ES/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). That thing is super comfortable. It was like buying a new bed. However, after six years, it has changed to an ugly yellow color for some reason, and it no longer felt as firm. I should have just bought another egg crate but I decided to try something different. After reading dozens of reviews, I decided on the RECCI 3-inch. The reviews seemed too good, so I assume many were fake. I ran the reviews through the Fakespot dot com site and they judged the 200+ reviews legitimate, so I was sold. When the topper arrived, I unrolled it and left it on the hardwood floor in the guess room for two days to make sure it was fully expanded. It came with a nice cover already installed. Before putting it on the bed, I walked on it to see how it felt. My feet sunk all the way to the hardwood. That seemed too soft but I didn't think much of it since I don't sleep standing up all that often I was looking forward to sleeping on it but was disappointed at how soft it is. If I sleep near the edge of the bed I don't sink down as much, but I prefer to sleep near the middle. I don't think my weight is the problem. I'm a well-proportioned 200 pounds. Maybe it's just better for lighter people or those who like it soft? I would send it back but I don't know where I would find a "refrigerator size box to stuff it into, so I'm stuck with it. I will order another egg crate today. The material seems to be solid all the way through, so I think I will cut the RECCI down to queen size and put it on the bed in the guest room. BTW, regular king-size fitted sheets will not reach down to the bottom edge of the mattress with this 3-inch topper on the bed. I’ll start by saying I was SO upset when this arrived and I laid it out. Like, actually in tears. Am I the drama? 😂 I assumed it was a piece of crap and there was no way that center pile up could ‘inflate’ to normal. When I got home 12 hours later, it was perfectly inflated and ready to sleep on. Thank god cause I was about to stuff it back in the box IMMEDIATELY. Boyfriend talked me off the proverbial ledge. I’d been fatigued and seemingly every pressure point in my body was sore from our two year old mattress that doesn’t cause my boyfriend pain. (Why I only got a twin xl for our regular king) It’s been uncomfortable for 6 plus months for me though. Our mattress is a medium firm 14 inch memory foam. For reference, I’m a 28 year old female working two physical jobs so I’m on my feet walking, moving, cleaning 10+ hours a day. My left hip bothers me occasionally, my neck, my lower back, etc. I’ve also developed some carpal tunnel that makes my arm go numb while I sleep and for a while after I wake up and get moving. There was no chemical smell that I noticed. It gets warm, so if that’s an issue, keep looking for a cooling topper. I keep a fan pointed at my face always, so that’s not an issue for me. Our dog that typically snuggles up to the boyfriend all night even prefers being on this topper now, as I don’t flail around and bother him anymore while trying to stay comfortable. My pain has subsided substantially over the last week or two, as well as the numbness from carpal tunnel. It doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night which is huge. Much relief with the lower back pain too. I’m so relieved I can’t put it into more words. I definitely recommend this topper. Don’t be discouraged when it arrives looking like this!
