This item functions very well in keeping the cover in an elevated manner so the water will flow straight off and does not create any pooling. Snow will also fall off if hight is adjusted appropriately. The hight you want is completely adjustable and easy to set up. The mushroom top prevents any damage to your boat cover. Made of aluminum, it will not rust or corrode. Comes with straps to properly secure to your boat. It is held in place by a bag of sand. The bag is included, however the sand is not.     • Supports my spring season cover but seems a bit wiggly.
I use this to support my off season cover when boat is pulled out of indoor winter storage, so I can't say how it does with heavy snow. I do deal with a lot of rain and some windy conditions and this cover stays in place well if you use the 3 securing straps. I would have preferred 4 slots and straps for the top mushroom cap though, for more tying options. Overall, the aluminum parts fit together reasonably well, but compared to my two piece summer marina support poles, this has a lot of wiggle. My other support poles fit together more closely and the height is infinitely adjustable by using a squeezing cam lever locking clasp that keeps things rigid. Conversely, this support works for what it is, but seems a bit flimsy. ... show more

this is a really well made boat cover support that is solid and stable that will allow you to support the cover so the rain water will run off instead of puddle. It comes complete with the adjustable rod that is thick and strong, the base and rounded top to prevent the cover from ripping or poking a hole in it. straps to stabilize and hold the support in place and even a sand bag you can fill to put around the base to hold it down if needed. very good quality I have another support that I have used but this is far better quality and I would highly recommend it ... show more

    • Works AND versatile
In fairness, we didn’t get this for a boat. We got it because we have a large rack of pool toys and floats, and the cover always sags the same way a boat cover does when it rains. This worked out perfectly. The adjustable height made it easy to set up, and it keeps water from pooling, which was the whole goal. The base is stable, and the aluminum pole feels sturdy—way better than the makeshift solutions we tried before. We live in Florida and we don't get a little rain, we get downpours. It’s designed for boats, but if you’ve got a cover that tends to collect water, this is a great fix. So much better than going out after a storm and trying to mess with the cover to drain it. ... show more

Everything tucks away in a nice storage bag. This boat cover support was very easy to set up using two people. The very top cone has slots cut in it for your support straps. Every winter we have an issue with snow constantly melting and filling our winter boat cover with water, which eventually sweeps through and ends up getting the interior wet, which makes for more clean-up come spring. We have tried a variety of things to keep the cover from filling up all to varying degrees of sucess. I came across this device and it looks like it will work to solve our issues. It has a flat base for the pole to sit in and a rounded top to protect the cover. Having a pole to keep your boat cover up and keep water for gathering on the cover is essential. This pole and straps do a great job with the boat cover. The pole design is the part that is different from others, the push button design is much stronger than the twist lock type. I would recommend this set. ... show more
